Why do people think rushes are cheap?
Why do people think rushes are cheap?
Because I'm a cunt that loves to build his armies up and have massive scale wars.
Because youre not really playing the game. You literally rush with the first unit you can build and thats it. Its not really skill its just kinda dumb. I mean if youre one of those retards that say A WIN IS A WIN than sure but youre literally doing the equivalent of starting up a basketball game than after you get 1 point in the first 10 seconds you say game over and we both go home. Its just a waste of time for everyone involved
So just scout the pool.
I never got into Brood War for anything other than use map settings games, but at least in SC2, I've always found that playing against protoss is the most unfun shit possible
Cannon rushes are retarded, because every game is a 50/50 chance of whether he's going to do it or not. You can scout, prevent, and come out ahead in this cannon rush, and that autistic faggot protoss cunt will STILL do it again next game because it worked for him a couple times, and the shitter he beat with it gave up.
Depending on map positions if you didnt blind counter you're instantly dead. Say you scout left instead of top right you instantly lose because he was top right. Just a waste of time
>getting beat by ling rushes
I forgot what is the current year again?
for some reason people think long macro-focused games are *the* way to play RTS, but it really isn't. however, playing cheese builds against bad players because you can't macro and want easy quick wins is pretty cringe.
You don't scout a 4pool to hold it. Doing so put you behind, which is exactly what they want. Rather, to defend a 4pool you simply use a safe build. Meaning you don't skip the essential defensive options.
It's more like if Basketball had a technique that allowed me to get 5000 points instantly after a few minutes, and the game automatically ends as a result, but you did nothing to prevent it.
>playing cheese builds against bad players because you can't macro and want easy quick wins is pretty cringe.
literally this
A good player will never die to a ling rush unless they do a stupid, greedy build.
there's a reason only 1% of the population can play at the Masters/GM level like me
ASL players lose to ling rushes, albeit from other ASL players. You are never too good to lose a ling rush, because the stronger the competition, the more corners you try and cut to get ahead.
>unlock early defensive units
>spam workers like a fucking cheezer
>get caught
>die like the bitch you are
>complain about it on the forums
If all t1 offensive units were deleted from the game someone would kill these hard-simming faggots with a hydralisk push before they had their fourth base and they'd complain that its cheese.
I think it's BM to make a push before I've taken my second base, but that's only because I play SC2 and you generally take your 2nd base as soon as you saturate your main
>b-but my macro is better
If you are going to lose to superior micro at any point in the game, isnt it a mercy to do it with zerglings instead of waiting?
>You are never too good to lose a ling rush
Show me one time Flash lost to a ling rush in any ASL. I legit don't think there is an example from memory.
retards that are slowpokes and don't build 3 or 4 marine academies, then build like 10 bunkers. Let's see your zerg rush survive that, friendo.
its an exploit of a design problem in equilibrium of the game so yeah its cheap
>blind counter
4 pools are weak as fuck, and workers are pretty good in BW. As long as you don't expo first or some other dumb shit you should be fine.
Your micro can be korean tier levels of good and still get your shit pushed in by someone with better macro who a-moves into you
It's boring and only try hards do it
When you're playing to win, you rush like a fag
When you're playing for fun, you build interesting army compositions and test / tease your opponent for a great match, win or lose
Rush fags are so tiresome
i just a waist of a good play
>10 bunkers
I hope you got enough minerals for missile turrets now because I just built a spire and have some mutas looking for some SCV ass
aren't widow mines usually enough to blow all/most up?
Widow mines are SC2 specific, and also not a good counter to muta harass unless you've got more than one stacked up in your mineral line
They're better optimized on the map waiting for lings of the zerg and bane variety. They ARE good against mutas provided you have something else anti air to fuck with them
Pretty sure JD got him with a 4pool in one of the early ones. He built his rax out on the map and got fucked for it.
So Quidditch?
>When the recall lands in your main
nice mothership
would be a shame if something happened to it
