would I enjoy Deus Ex if I just beat Vampire: tMB recently and it was one of the best games I've played in a long time?
VTM is a more character driven game, while Deus Ex is more gameplay focused, so I'm not sure.
how bad is it that I've beaten de:hr at least 5 times and all that I can remember about it is the poster for a made up future final fantasy game inside the annoying IT nerds office, yet can recite the original near line for line
is it me? do i have some kind of brain tumor?
I've beaten it 3 or 4 times and while I don't remember any lines (besides the meme lines) all of the main locations are pretty vivid in my mind.
That poster shows up in other places, most notably in the Illuminati's secret Singapore base's barracks
These games feel more Cyberpunky then Cyberpunk.
because it's actually a good game
Do you at least remember the lines from the cinematic trailer?
Yeah CP2077 looks like less Cyberpunk once you go explore out. I just want a larger version of HR Shanghai or Golem City ffs
Deus Ex is tech noir, not cyberpunk. And thank fuck for that.
The original Deus Ex was the only good Deus Ex. Human Revolution was absolute garbage with shounen anime tier writing, terrible linear levels, absolutely awful visuals and lack of freedom of movement that the original did.
Anybody else thought that Adam's arms always looked ngmi tier?
If i try to, all i can remember is "i didnt ask for this" and the text on the helicopter in game that looks like it says boobs
I swear I've beaten this half a dozen times, I'm starting to worry im getting early onset alzheimer's or something
ugh, could you not
deus ex is a good game
cyberpunk isn't
What?
Not everyone has a memory for lines, but if you don't remember either the lines or the locations, well...
not start the argument about the definition of cyberpunk.
Deus Ex is cyberpunk, end of story.
boobees
There's nothing punk about it.
Weren't most of Adam's augmentations unnecessary to begin with?
Is there a more kino game soundtrack?
youtube.com
Not it's not, end of story.
>deus ex
>gameplay focused
you meant de:hr, right?
Why did they have to give him suicide wrists?
I remember being insanely disappointed at how clunky this game was. Dishonored was significantly smoother, Adam handles like a truck. Also, having to constantly gulp down protein powder is a pain in the ass.
Fuck you nigger
HR was neat but I can't really deal with MD.
Feels more like an art project than a game, how do I have fun with it?
Why can't you talk like a normal person instead of someone who lives on the internet 24/7 so actual human beings can understand you? What the fuck is a suicide wrist?
>how do I have fun with it?
You can't. It's just an underwhelming game. That's not your fault. It's the dev's.
i just played the first 2 hours of CP and want to replay HR & MD instead of playing more of it
MD is flawed for sure but I had fun with it. Golem City is neat and I thought the prison DLC was really fun. The bank one was pretty good too.
Have you gone through the hour long "fading in and out of black" cutscene yet?
Fuck Cyberpunk and fuck CDPR.
I'm installing and playing Mankind Divided for the first time..
no i just got back to my apartment after saving the girl in the bathtub and then ran around exploring the city for 5 min (game bugged out when i tried to steal a car and i was stuck inside the NPC drivers body while driving around and couldnt get out the car lol)
I played it once and I hardly remember anything
Because they wanted him to look as normal as a machine man can. It's commented on during The Missing Link how they're not just military grade, they're discrete unlike Barrett/Fedorova/Namir.
Should have aimed for far cry blood dragon.
this
He always looked frail and skinny. At least in MD he looks a little more fleshed out but in HR he just looks like some freaky creature people on /x/ spam threads about
>talk like a normal person
No
Adam, get these fucking fruit flies out of here
The game is extremely bland and forgettable so it's perfectly understandable.
It's much better than HR in every way except for story.
based
HR had no story worth shit.
Why did they fuck up everything besides the gameplay in HR?
>It's just an underwhelming game.
I dunno, I liked it for what it is.
Both HR and MD have underwhelming main quests. The sidequests are what make the story and it's themes remotely enjoyable.
Well yeah.
My beef with HR was the exact opposite. I beat it only once years ago and I still remember everything vividly to this day that it's ruining my replay. Being too memorable is also kind of a problem
>want to play MD
>can't decide if I wanna replay HR first or not
You did save her, right?
Do you play a lot of games? Do you play while high? Did you play through stealthy, taking your time, looking for secrets, or blast through it guns blazing?
I've played through it twice and remember it pretty well, but I also played pure nonlethal stealth and took a long time.
I did. Saving her while doing nonlethal stealth through that section was tough, but doable.
of course. it’s a pain in the ass on pacifist runs but i do it every time
Play it as it was intended, a stealth game.
it's postcyberpunk, if you wanna get technical
anyways being a punk and rebel is a shit tier concept born out of the past generation
The locations and atmosphere in HR were so much better than MD for some reason.
>Both HR and MD have underwhelming main quests.
No, I disagree. I think in HR it feels like you actually accomplish something and it was a journey to get there. In MD there's no real journey, there's few missions and you pretty much find out what's going on in the first one, and then he doesn't really do much in regards to going up against the Illuminati. In fact, it's revealed everything is basically going according to plan except for one very minor hiccup so Jensen achieves less than nothing. I cared a lot more about the main story than I did any side stories in HR. MD doesn't have better side stories but the main story is so lacking side stories is all you've got.
That isn't what postcyberpunk means, Mirror's Edge is postcyberpunk whilst Deus Ex is cyberpunk.
i don't understand why people think MD's story is better than HR. It is so much worse (fuck you Square and fuck your shitty Adventures game)
MD had too few locations
at least the final area is WAY better than that shitty ship though
