What do you mean dumpster fire? The game is fine, I played for 8 hours and didn't notice any issues apart some FPS drops in some scenes (but that is to be expected with 2080s)

Waiting out the initial salvo of hotfixes seems like a no-brainer, but if you wait more than that you will miss out on the memes, discussion, and probably get shit spoiled for you.
Plus the enhanced edition is always a good reason to replay the game, its what got me to do a second in depth play of each Witcher game, and the Divinity Original Sin games.
