There is absolutely no way this game doesn't win the GOTY award. It's the safest choice.
Hades: No chance.
Animal Crossing : No chance.
DOOM Eternal: Extremely unlikely, definitely not happening.
TLOUII: Too controversial, absolutely not happening.
FF7R: This has the best chance other than GoT. But it's hard to see it winning.
Ghost of Tsushima :
>Sony bonus ? Check
>AAA? Check
>Open world? Check
>etc
The only thing that could get in its way is the fact that a (better) game with a similar setting won last year.
I will eat a tree if it doesn't win.

The Last of Us 2 has woke media on it's side which gives it a very good shot at winning, unfortunately.
mario land 3d will win goty from germany. you can try stop but it is written already
That didn't stop all the other awards shit giving it to last of us 2
Ghost is gonna get Horizon'd
>that fucking lineup
holy shit what a bad year for games, ghost of tsushima probably the best and i still deleted it before i finished the laundry list of map marker quests to re-download persona 5
What does that mean
>Sony bonus
nope, only applies to nintendo. if a game with a mascot of nintendo was released this year, that will be GOTY
Can we discuss Ghost in this thread as well? I'm the second area and just unlocked the Gosaku armor set, it looks sick.
Worried that I might have made myself slightly OP (I've also fully upgraded the Sakai armor for the cool hat and mask) but I'm still enjoying it.
Of course tlou2 is going to win, it has cucks and *edditors and roasties drooling over it.
My highschool sister kept bugging me to buy it and I didn't even if I made a shit ton of money in shitcoins, so she saved and bought it for 70 euros... 2 days before it went down to 40 euros on black friday kek
It has literal retards praising it, and in this honkler world it's going to win.
But its shit
Even ff 7 is better
Dragon age is shit too still won
if you take the game awards seriously then you're a fucking idiot
Some of the skills are kinda broken, a terror build creating chain panic is hilarious. You can always go full honorabu samurai and calmy walk into mongol camps by the main gate.
And DO YARIKAWA if you didn't already, you'll thank me later. Ideally they should be done before the other main story quests, otherwise Jin's character development doesn't make as much sense.
I've done the ghost of Yarikawa mission but not the main story one yet. Should I do the nearby Yuna side mission first?
I'd do Yarikawa first (I did in my playthrough) but it won't break anything if you don't. It just makes more sense if you do but I don't want to spoil the story.
>TLOUII: Too controversial
That's why it will happen, free publicity and an opportunity to get dicksucked by media kikes.
Game Awards is already a fucking joke, they have no credibility, they don't have anything to lose and they know it.
Alright, thank you. It's much appreciated.
Also, pet peeve: whenever you kill a group of enemies and do the cool sword clean and sheathe animation, only for one of the enemies to be still "alive" (crawling on the ground). So you have to unsheathe the sword and kill them and THEN re-sheathe which is much less cool.
It's a great and fun game with pretty visuals, but it's also very forgettable. The story, while a nice homage to japanese films and storytelling at points, is mostly also forgettable outside of capturing Shimura castle. Online content only lasted for about week before it got stale which doesn't help either. Outside of it's issues I liked the game a lot sure, but I just can't see it being GOTY.
EITHER WAY, SONY FUCKING WINS KEK
Basically just do Ghosts from the Past (Jin's family armor quest) after Yarikawa and Pirate quests and it'll be fine. Have fun user!
>So you have to unsheathe the sword and kill them and THEN re-sheathe which is much less cool.
Kek
A question for my friends. I don't like open world games because the maps are too big and there are too many copy pasted assets, collectables, and side mission. However, I found that I enjoyed Infamous Second son because the map was small, and the side missions and collectables were limited, making the game shorter and have good pacing, instead of feeling like I was grinding side missions for XP. How does this game compare to other open world games? Does it go for BIGGER = BETTER or does it understand that quality is more important over quantity?
>TLOUII: Too controversial, absolutely not happening.
You just confirmed the goty, you absolute retard. Media is run by kikes and the shabbos and kikes want to push trannies.
>Nioh 2 wasn't nominated
why... I enjoyed it a lot more than any of the current nominees (except FF7R, didn't play it)
How do people still like bam ham combat? Aren't you faggots tired of it?
>TLOUII: Too controversial
You're in a filter bubble. It's only controversial amongst a small, loud subset of the gaming community. On the whole, it was very well received.
ok sure
>my game wasn't nominated??? wtf is wrong with the world...
Nioh 2's gameplay has more depth and isn't as forgiving as Ghost of Tsushima so the casual audience can't really get into it.
what are some good 2003 games though
Sony wins every year. It's basically paid sony shill awards.
F-Zero GX
Max Payne 2
Tales of Symphonia
Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom
>DOOM Eternal: Extremely unlikely, definitely not happening
it's a shame that the best video GAME is precluded for not having enough pandering in its story
Ah shit, I already did those two. The Yarikawa one is the last one I have. Oh well.
It's pretty big and has a bunch of activities, yeah. If you're burnt out on that kind of genre then I probably wouldn't recommend it, but I've been enjoying it.
> thinking ff7r was better than Doom Eternal
Fucking weebs.
