When someone doesn't know how to write well they introduce plot devices like time travel, alternate dimensions and "fate" ghosts so you literally don't have to commit to anything you're writing. It's a way to have things happen but without earning those moments, and as a way to have an excuse to undo anything you don't like and do it differently.
A good and competent writer with confidence would tell a good story without all these elements which are ultimately cowardly, and speak volumes about the lack of commitment the people telling the remake story have in the project. I can't imagine a bigger red flag than literally confessing they're making it up as they go and don't even know how long it will be. That's not a good sign.

So far what i understand, the characters literally broke free from the original game and not only aerith is in danger, but everyone. Thats hardly "not commitment". On the contrary.

Sure, but this is a remake. Your brain is hardwired to only prepare to Aerith death and avalanche death. Therefore, completely dismissing the original intentions of "boo sudden death good, thats how death works in real life".

Sure, i guess, but what the remake is trying to achieve is still working, so i dont see the problem as long as it works. Also talking about time travel and alternate dimensions without confirmations and reaching to those conclusions is a little wrong. Theres some time elements, doesnt mean we will see cloud using epoch to travel to the fast or some shit, there are limitations.

only real complaints are:
slow as fuck walk & talk segments
some enemies are a pain to get into Pressured status

Im just basing myself on what i see in the remake. First of all the ultimania already confirms two things: theres some extra we dont know about the whispers (it asks whats the whispers true goal and their true origins linked to the planet) and two, aerith knows something. Harbinger was beaten, so theres actually limitations and commitment to it, not for nothing Aerith said "if we win here, we will be changing ourselves", meaning that there will be consequences on what they did in part 1.
