As others have said, its a mostly text based RPG, if that is something that puts you off then it's not for you.

If that's something you even might maybe possibly be able to get behind then just buy it and see for yourself. Its a fantastic game. Even if you are going to dislike it, even hate it, you should find out for yourself.

There's a real irony when people says it's a commie game, they can't see out of their own culture war bubble, it's sincerely pathetic. If you come to these conclusions I recommend psychiatric therapy and also travel.

It's a good game but keep in mind it's essentially a visual novel/choose your own adventure. It's all dialogue and skill checks and your choices matter (but they actually do)

it's the other side of the coin from a game like Pillars of Eternity 2, just as obnoxious and quirky but written by edgelords instead of just faggots.

I bought this game after literally everyone recommended it to me. I love RPG games and detective genre (both in games and in other media).

Got bored roughly 5 hours in, haven't touched since.

This is kind of true but I'm not sure this is the kind of game to self-insert with either. I tried to see how far I could sink the character into depravity.

23000+ reviews and I don't know a single person who's played it.

I'm a massive Zig Forumsfag and I loved the game. It does a pretty good job mocking all sides (though obviously the devs have their own beliefs which bleed through on occasion). My only real gripe with their choices is the censorship of "faggot." What the fuck is up with that? It's jarring and breaks immersion.

You can get hardlocked by doing the most logical choices by videogame standards because the devs felt the need to be above that.

Two of the first 10-15 characters that you meet are just there so the player can get chastitized for picking the racist choice, they even attach a character that follows you everywhere that is just there to get angry if you ever sound racist and will praise you if you shit on those people.
The game also punishes you for being authoritarian, its not "politically balanced" like the sheeple here are saying.
