If music was not faggotry, there was more banter with the bosses and they didn't ditch the kinda-Metroidvania like backtrack and explore aspect of one giant location for the straight line DmC levels it would be my favorite no questions asked. DMC3 is still king for that reason, but 5 is undeniably the best action game ever made gameplay wise.
