"played" this "game" for about 4 hours, turned it off and deleted the folder. There was about 10 minutes of gameplay throughout the entirety of these 4 hours, and said gameplay is basically borderlands 2 minus the fun, special abilities and physics, you run around and shoot bullet sponges with giant cartoonish guns that go pew-bang-pew without actually dealing any damage at all.
The rest is filled with endless vomit-inducing 1st person cutscenes, all of them are dialogues between poorly animated chunks of low-poly flesh that you are supposed to care for. There is no role-playing or any kind of choices you can make.
Any immersion it might have had is ruined by the fact that this is a world governed by levels and stats, imagine if Nico Belik had to level up his crafting skill to upgrade his AK to deal fire damage so that he can kill level 40 Vlad that is immune to normal bullets, while wearing a level 10 ushanka giving you 47.6 armor and being buffed by [green_hotdog_of_accuracy] (level 8 food that gives you +13% accuracy to your main gun for 30 minutes) Not much room for immersing yourself in such a world.
Dissapointing, so exploring is out of the question due to high level areas?
Jordan Powell
you have to work towards seeing more of the map, every open world game does this
Julian Torres
>[green_hotdog_of_accuracy] kek
Charles Parker
no one cares
Ryder Stewart
1)This is not an RPG 2)You don't get to participate in said dialogues 3)You don't get to make any choices These are just cutscenes, and yes - the game has way to many of those. They are also very low-effort, shit animation and 1st person perspective, like some cheap indie game from 2012.
Christopher Garcia
>waah why does RPG game have RPG aspects??? why isn't it like COD??? REEEEEEEE you'll never be a woman shill
>not an RPG >no real choices >10 minutes in choosing the wrong dialog choice when retrieving the flathead results in you getting shot in the head lol ok retard, go back to cod if your attention span is this low
Joseph Murphy
You will never have a vagina.
Mason Garcia
>what is BotW
Brayden Nguyen
>why isn't it like COD Problem is - it is EXACTLY like COD, and it has even LESS gameplay than COD does nowadays. And about as much RPG aspects to it, although COD's multiplayer is much better in this regard, so maybe I'm being too hard on Activision by comparing their series to this steaming pile of garbage.
Jackson Baker
thats not a real game
Isaiah Young
can i really not shoot from the motorbike?
Evan Reed
yeah i refunded it . Idk what i hoped for but that wasn't it. I play games for the gameplay and this is the most basic shit you could ever imagine. Even witcher's gameplay was better, and fucking hell it was bland.
guess i just grew over story centered games, it's weird because all my friends are having the opposit.
Also fucking HELL the game is ugly. Sure i don't have a beast anymore (gtx1080) but there are so many better looking games where i can get a consistent 60fps
Joshua Johnson
>it's like cod >but there's too many RPG moments and not enough action grr >:( >did i mention there's like too much RPG stuff like wtf let me just get to the action??? >but its like cod I'm genuinely concerned that your brain is fried if you aren't just trolling
Jordan Wood
>still trying You already lost.
Jace Hill
>you'll never be a woman shill Do you just repeat insults you hear without first understanding the proper context in which to use it? Do you even know what a shill is? Do you have a functioning brain?
Benjamin Moore
Generic trash. Seven goddamn years and they released Outer Worlds v2.
Carson Watson
Let me help you sort your failing brain out. >it's like cod ...because modern COD (at least its singleplayer campaign) is filled with cutscenes that are mostly dialogues between random characters and has little to no gameplay, and what gameplay it has is very shallow (just like cyberpunk) >but there's too many RPG moments and not enough action grr >:( Level progression and stats are NOT rpg elements, otherwise modern COD\NFS\FIFA are all RPGs because you have levels\various unlocks there. Choices and character building ARE rpg elements. And both COD and cyberpunk are (once again) exactly the same because they have none.
Also >a game that #makesapoint about #transrights by filling the world with literal trannies and even allowing you to play one >its fans are defending it by calling everyone who dislikes it trannies Righty-ho.
Yeah but is it even worth the hassle to pirate? Maybe in half a year.
John Ortiz
No one will ever call you pretty.
Brandon Garcia
no u nìntoddler
Carson Lee
but i'd have to buy it first in order to refund it
Jonathan Johnson
honestly i'm not pirating it, fuck this, i have literally 10 games that are more worth playing right now
Adrian Ross
Are you playing a role? Yes? Then it’s a role playing game. The genre isn’t called CYOA dummy. Go make some friends (lol) and play dnd if you want faggy shit like that.
Well it literally isn't an RPG, as per twitter.com/CyberpunkGame (description changed there too sometime ago).
Bentley Collins
>Are you playing a role? No.
Isaiah Russell
but trannies hate the game. you cant win
Jacob Perez
spotted the triggered tranny, you'll never be a woman
>they're the same cuz like cutscenes and story yeah, that's how a game works retard
>level progression and stats aren't RPG elements except they literally are. Having stats and a progression to your character that influences your environment and character interactions is literally what makes an RPG an RPG. COD has gradually adopted RPG elements.
The original FF games (and original RPGs) were RPGs with their sole RPG element being character stats and you playing an arbitrary class. They had no dialog choices, no special interactions with your environment, nothing of that sort- but they are RPGs.
It sounds like you didn't even play the game, since your knowledge of its RPG elements are zero.
1. Cyber Punk has stats that directly affect your environment and how you progress through a level (hacking, engineering, ext.) 2. Cyber Punk has stats that directly affect your interactions with characters, resulting in new dialog, equipment, story, ext. 3. It has a plethora of character customization that contributes to its RPG elements. (character, clothes, cars, ext. )
COD does not have these. Original RPG games didn't have these. These are layers of RPG elements on RPG elements, you're just too stupid to understand how any of these points are interconnected.
Aaron Bell
i know how they workaround the steam refund policy. scumbag devs do this. they pad the first couple hours with mostly cutscenes and other garbage you have to watch that way it counts as gameplay time and you can't get a refund once you finally get to the actual game play and realize it's dog shit.
Grayson Edwards
Why does it take so many shots to kill a guy? Shooting people point blank in the face multiple times only for them to run away and shoot back just destroys all sense of fun.
Juan Powell
Nuh-uh, its actually Based and Redpilled Aryan Saviours of White Race that hate on it. Checkmate.
Caleb Long
because you can be just as spongey
Gabriel Russell
played 4h and got a refund no questions asked. Stop thinking the devs are trying to scam you...
Luis Gomez
putin russia monke?
Robert Murphy
its an action adventure story you stupid chud its supposed to be like that? dont you like movies or tv shows?
>why does it take so many shots to kill someone Because that's the distinction between an RPG shooter and a generic FPS. An FPS you mow through enemies, in an RPG you have choices that directly affect how effective your immediate weapon is on a particular enemy.
You realize that weapons of attributes, and enemies have weaknesses to specific attributes, right?
Perhaps they're bullet sponges because you're too stupid to interact with the core RPG aspects and you're expecting a generic FPS; which begs the question...how can you then argue it's just like COD?
Also, >why do the enemies in FF take so many fireballs???
It's very easy to see that you guys simply don't like RPGs and you were expecting COD with a more immersive story
>Any immersion it might have had is ruined by the fact that this is a world governed by levels and stats, imagine if Nico Belik had to level up his crafting skill to upgrade his AK to deal fire damage so that he can kill level 40 Vlad that is immune to normal bullets, while wearing a level 10 ushanka giving you 47.6 armor and being buffed by [green_hotdog_of_accuracy] (level 8 food that gives you +13% accuracy to your main gun for 30 minutes) >Not much room for immersing yourself in such a world. imagine complaining out that for a rpg
Joshua Williams
give one reason to play this game over borderlands except the cute tranny dicks
Grayson Johnson
>I will post shit you never said in greentext so that I don't have to address the argument and will simply call you a retard Guess you never saw that coming, huh retard? >The original FF games (and original RPGs) were RPGs with their sole RPG element being character stats and you playing an arbitrary class. They had no dialog choices, no special interactions with your environment, nothing of that sort- but they are RPGs. >and original RPGs >original > RPGs Your understandment of the subject is very lacking, refrain yourself from any further discussions.
Mason Hall
You restore my faith in this dying board overwhelmed by redditors who think nUmBeRs AnD sKiLl TrEeS make a game an RPG
