yeah it should've been "Games" plural

Considering they declare bankruptcy every other year I’d say they don’t, we go to cex instead
Pronounced exactly the same as sex and smells like piss and sweat, just the way we like it

Yeah what's wrong with it.
I Wish they didn't eat and kill off game station

Anyone remember Gamestation?

There are many bars in the US called simply "The Bar"

Remember getting 10 shitty PS2 games for £10 every other week, miss them

I used to have a cex near me in the US, and I can confirm ours smelled like piss too.

oh my god

Yeah, and what do they call your stores?

>the games don't stop
Do Americans really?

I rarely see GAME's anymore, it's mostly just CEX stores these days, and bigger stores also selling games. Like you'll see the newest Call of Duty in supermarkets in their own display area, or maybe a small games aisle.

My hometown still has the same independant games shop that I remember being there 20 years ago though. I remember seeing all the cool new Gameboy games underneath the glass counter, the N64 posters on the walls, the N64 themed sign... I went back there a few months ago, the same fucking sign and posters are up, they still sell Gameboy, GBA etc games.
I've always wondered how the fuck it survived all those years, never transitioning beyond that era. Nowadays it's a retro store, but in the 00's and 10's, it was just dated.

kinda kino reminds me of the shops you walk by in jrpgs like earthbound

>britcucks

>purple and green

Where my Chips chads at?

Bot sure they existed outside the North East.

Grainger Games were great too.

WHY IS 6TH GEN GAMES FUCKING EXPENSIVE IN CEX NOW,HOLY FUCK

GAME used to be really big back in the sixth gen console era however when the seventh gen came out all of a sudden supermarkets started selling all of the new games with midnight launches.
Anyway fuck GAME, Gamestation was superior in every way.

I'll never get over the fact they call their wifi networks "Protected CeX" for the staff one and "Unprotected Cex" for the public one.

Supply & demand. Nintendo games have always been crazy expensive in CeX & Gamestop. I remember even shitty DS & Wii games were near full price second hand because parents would always buy them.

Every day.
I always lament the state of game shops here in Britain. I remember getting pre-owned copies of brand new games for reduced prices, the ol 2 for £20 on gamecube and xbox games, getting gameboy/gameboy color games for like £2 unboxed, those were the fucking days man. And of course, like everything, GAME had to fuck it all up. Fuck GAME. I can’t wait for the day they finally, truly go under.

have cex incel

And that's why Nintendo never lowers the prices. There's always demand for them.

>ywn again be a 13 to 15 year old in the mid-00s going to trade in PS2 and Gamecube games at gamestation
>ywn be at gamestation and see a retro corner with classics like FF7 on PS1 for £20
>ywn buy used metroid prime and super mario sunshine for 2 for £20

What the hell happened in 2016?

What problem you have with that? It's metamodern.

Digital purchases took off big in 2016 and Gamestop never really managed to keep pace after that. That was the start of the pivot into wild shit that basically ended up with them stocking a million Funko Pops.

>Tfw can still perfectly remember going to the one in Clapham Common like it was yesterday
>Emviously eyeing up that expensive boxed copy of Pokemon Crystal that I couldn’t afford but got Super Smash Bros 64 and Pokemon TCG instead
>The happiest place on the planet for my child self
>Based Staff would sometimes let me buy 18+ games
I want to go back

IIRC it's an abbreviation, something something media entertainment

Well, now you know what you'll find in there

>literally name your used tat store SEX
