Absolutely. I enjoyed the shit out of the game even if I’m not the biggest fan of the GO catching mechanics. The best part about it was seeing Kanto in HD and I’d happily pay 60 dollars to complete the dex all over again with a modern silver/gold.

Guys, don't you think that the Eevee/Pikachu exclusive moves ruined the game? They were simply too powerful and you could solo the game with your starter.

yes, there are issues, but everything about it screams 'pokemon', every little thing they added to the games are things 10yo you would've dreamed of in a pokemon game when you first played through blue or red

the whole pokemon riding mechanic is fucking great, why isn't it in S/W?
why don't you have your started interact with you like this? being able to see him walking around and climbing on top of you to give you some item he found on the ground or tell you he saw something or whatever, how the fuck are the new games not focused on THAT?

the let's go games are a love letter to the pokemon universe, something that the mainline games have been completely ignoring for a while now

People have solo'd pokemon with their starter since the first games. Adding busted moves just speeds up getting to the end game where the autism and longevity is.

Don't wish for that. They don't put Day/Night cycles in let's go games, so Johto would lose all it's soul being daytime all the time.

At least a 6/10 to someone like a 35 year old playing it. To me, it's a 7.5. And not some 10 year old, it should be around a 9

LGPE has the benefit on being based on pre-gen 7 architecture so it is automatically better than Alola and Galar, Kanto isn't exactly the best region but it is on par with Kalos and Unova.

The graphics are also much better than Sword and Shield, the art style is consistent and the textures aren't ass.

But...Pikachu is so cute...

With that in mind, for main series entries these games are dogshit. They cut all Pokemon outside of Gen 1 Pokemon, Meltan and Melmetal. It cut well established features like held items and abilities, shit, it even cut most Pokeballs outside of the regular, Great, Ultra, Premiere and Master Ball.

Yes these games unironically are fun. And as a quasi-spin off I accept that only Kantomons are in it, but I would have really preferred evolutions of Kantomons from later gens like Crobat and Magnezone be included.

SwSh's overworld mons + grass mons being combined is better than exclusive overworld mons, but SwSh is kind of a disaster. I still played it, and I think they're better than Sun and Moon, but barely.
