I fucking suck at this series and haven't beaten any of the ones I've tried but they're fun.
It's pretty ugly but I'm enough of a sap to buy it so they can try again
I never knew Maximo was a G&G game until entering this thread. Ask me anything.
Tweening, lmao. Just when you thought crapcom couldnt sink any lower.
How many games did you beat
It's ugly. No way around it. If you want the GnG fix there's always the Ultimate for PSP, with the JP revision being Fujiwara's final project. Malditta Castilla and Battle Princess Madelyn are also options.
Super and Maximo
What's up with everyone complaining about the artstyle?
I think the artstyle is fine but I don't like the tweening
Ignore it, happened with MM11 as well and the complaints mostly went away when the gameplay turned out to be great.
The art in the OP is pretty, but that's not what the game looks like
Is GnG the chaddest franchise ever made? Only played by turbochads who don't shy away form anything.
How about you link the trailer, you coward.
Tweening?
this shit looks like the Rumble Fish
no real makaimura fan would like this
I really like the artstyle of the new one. Wish more games would do this kind of thing, it seems everything is either pixel trash or realism trash.
Are they including turning into a girl in this one? Only thing I care about.
How come Capcom hasn't bothered doing a GnG Legacy Collection of some sort yet?
Well DIMPS worked on both.
looks good
Yeah, basically. It looks pretty low budget on top of it, if you look at the animations.
this game is too hard for me
You do realize we live in a time where people are getting filtered by FF7 and they had to introduce a god mode, right?
>Is GnG the chaddest franchise ever made?
Easily one of Capcom's chaddest
This is wildly different, Megaman 11 looked great even from the trailers, they did a fresh new artstyle while mantaining the touch of the original.
This looks downright bad, its like a flash game the artstyle itself is okay, but the way it was animated just looks...off, definately not good looking.
Specially when there's stuff like Maldita Castilla that looks a million times more appealing.
inb4 the zoomers make Dark Souls comparisons
This game looked great. it was a portable game, and the low poly aesthetic was nicely done.
This new one tries to imitate that but with flat 2d tweening sprites.
I love the look of the game. My only issue are the animations.
Papercut puppetry style is one of the hardest things to get right
youtube.com
When it's done correctly, it's jaw droppingly beautiful
When it's done incorrectly, it's fucking hideous and awkward
its the term for the way its animated, where the characters are moved joint by joint in each frame manually rather then drawn
you can see it alot in flash toons, its an easy way for smooth animation but lools really cheap
>Arthur can take more than two hits
They're casualizing it

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH FUCK CAPCOM
I'm not a fan of the artstyle. It looks janky. Which sucks because this OP image is fucking bursting with soul. Why couldn't it look like this?
Don't worry, ghosts and goblins on NES is a personal childhood pet peeve of mine, the amount of rage it created would have been enough to fuel a city.
To this day i still haven't beat a 2 loop. i'm 40
They'll add a hard mode.
And a super hard mode.
That looks good
The psp game already did that with the base game, but still did include a 2-hit mode. Took an exclusive rerelease to make it standard.
don't forget the ultra kai quantum duplex release
Were the hard modes for this worthwhile? I remember hard mode in 9 changed quite a bit.
They upped the HP of weak enemies and changed boss patterns to be harder
Super Hero Mode strips all but one checkpoint, power up drops, pre-placed power ups in stages, everything tanks more hits while also doing more damage.
Bosses also got harder patterns and more powerful versions of attacks.
