What? Fuck no. If Sepiroth is similar to Byleth than he's not going to be very viable. Slow characters with bad framedata don't usually fare well in smash, even with range. Shulk has monado arts to help him but who knows with Sephiroth.

The trailers don't show him missing, or anyone shielding, or spotdodging.
Believe me. Shielding and edgeguarding are kings in this game.

I did notice that both his FTilt and FSmash have an upwards angle, so I bet he'll get dunked on by small characters.

This will never happen because of Sakurai's autism about SSE cutscenes getting posted online

looks like he can finger snap 3 orbs around an opponent
it seems it goes off after a certain amount of time and and can send them pretty far
just knock them away off ledge and let the orbs do the rest for the kill
its octoslash looks pretty good as well in terms of moving someone to the other part of the screen

I think he will be really good at killing, but it all depends if he can move fast and roll away far enough to actually be a good character

I love how Sakurai barely even touched Steve, and he still becomes a top tier towards all the seething manbabies.

I dunno. I'm pretty sick of JRPG characters in general at this point. They've made up almost half the DLC at this point, and they all spam aerial disjoints like no tomorrow when you fight them. They could add Crono himself and I'd still be rolling my eyes. Actually, seeing Chrono Trigger get any kind of modern acknowledgement would dilute my distaste for samey swordies. I wouldn't be as excited for him as I would have been a couple years ago, though.
