>being a rasterfag in 2020

fuck Nvidia

whats the difference

>useless eceleb
Without Youtube those guys would stand in line for social security. I don't understand why companies give them anything at all.

I literally only care about RT performance so good, fuck off.

They don't get free stuff? Literally oppression.

This is standard practice when you get free shit.

>Yes, oh glorious corporation! Step on the little man some more!
This board is pathetic.

NVIDIA really wants to push the Ray tracing meme huh?

What were you or the guys over at Hardware Unboxed expecting from consoomers? This is what endlessly consuming shit turns your brain into.

And fuck the 4k meme, too.
All reviews should focus on 1080p and 1440p performance. The gains in those resolutions have been pathetic.

>banned from receiving free shit

>not getting free stuff
>literally hitler

>shill in exchange for "free" shit
>stop shilling
>no more "free" shit
>wtf bros how could this happen??????

nvidia should sue them for this. fuck hardware unboxed

>there are people who care for ray tracing
>they can be in this board
how do we ge rid of them?

Missing the point, retards. Nvidia is effectively controlling who can and can't review their products first this way, incentivizing shilling.

>amd unboxed
that guy he's an AMD shill who always shit on Nvidia, he make benchmarks, but somehow in his benchmarks AMD gpu's always win

It's about publishing the review as fast as the other people that get their stuff before because they shill for retarded memes like 4k and RT. Do you honestly think these guys give a fuck about the money a card costs? What fucking retards.

Maybe Nvidia should release ANY fucking card that can actually run ray tracing at not-shit framerates then.
Blurring the shit out of your game with DLSS doesn't count.

>Help, we bit the hand that feeds us and now we have to source our own hardware just like you unwashed plebians!
They should be torn limb from limb in the city square.

see this, drooling retard

They're the only guys.

honestly I find it harder to trust people who are sponsored by nvidia so this is a good thing for them
whenever you find yourself beholden to companies it's harder to express yourself freely

>get free gpus
>do a shittt job testing them and make the company look bad
> company no longer gives your free gpus
Wow fucking ridiculous. Nvidia is truly unreasonable.

Attached: e75 (1).gif (497x273, 3.72M)

So this is what a post Trump world looks like. Freedom of the press is truly dead.

>a man without his job would be unemployed
That's so deep.

Ray tracing performs like shit though so most people don't even use it.
That's why rasterization performance is more important.

if you don't suck that cock, no free shit.

good maybe now people that play video games can get some fucking cards

I'm well aware of this. It doesn't justify complaining about a ""ban.""
It's Nvidia's decision to make, just like it was theirs to take it in exchange.

Game reviewers get blacklisted by individual companies all the time, it's how the game is played.

Hardware RT is literally a miracle if you actually make stuff with your GPU and don't just play games.

>Make objective GPU tests
>Company pulls support
>Zig Forums defends it

You're all retards

why so many nvidia shills itt?

>Objective

Sure

Rasterization is pre-baked, ray-tracing is computed on the fly.

Rasterization allows for pretty, if not entirely realistic, visuals on low spec hardware, but requires some prep time by the dev team.

Ray tracing is hyper realistic, computationally expensive requiring top of the line hardware, and is essentially a push button devs can turn on and off. minus debugging of course.

>not getting free shit is the same as controlling the press
Go buy your own GPU and shit on it all day, nobody fucking cares

test

Can someone give me rundown in who are those faggots?

This board is the last intel + nvidia bastion you'll find.
And even if they play with their shitty i5s from 10 years ago and 750ti and 1050ti's, they will defend these companies

They don't get to keep the GPU, you throbbing fool.

Define "doing a shit job".

>argument
>given
pick 1 retard. Youre not even a paid shill. youre just a plain retard

Some """"""""tech"""""""" channel

Considering that 99.999999% of vidya is rasterized, testing only few gaytracing titles is more than fair

Nigga, yeah. That's how it works.
Where have you people been?

Bethesda didn't send review copies to ANYBODY for Doom 2016, just because someone spread those pre-release glitch webms of Fallout 4 on Zig Forums's Zig Forums.
Publishers/distributers/PR people are a capricious bunch, so you should always have a back-up plan if they cut your access.

AMD have taken over intel in CPU war but GPU is another matter, AMD have horrible track record when it come to GPU and their newest one is almost the same price as Nvidia.

"reviewers' that claim to be unbiased but are really just amd shills. like Gaymers Niggsus.

No company can ever be "the good guys".

Tech reviewers that don't spend half the review shilling raytracing

They are the people who make the blue benchmark slides that get shipped here on Zig Forums constantly.

why would anybody give you free shit just so you can shit on them?

Exactly, it's mind boggling people think ray tracing in video games has even gone past its infancy stage.

>"reviewers' that claim to be unbiased but are really just amd shills. like Gaymers Niggsus.
kek
>shitting on Steve
Youre watching nvidia charts only, arent you?

>oh no the company won't send us golden samples anymore
good. get hardware off the shelf like the rest of us and review that so we can get real reviews and you dont have to be beholden to whatever shitty narrative the company wants you to push in exchange for review samples.

what's in it for me that it can continue?

I'm actually a massive AMD fanboy, nobody wanted the 6800 to be good more than me because nvidia jewed us hard with only 10gb of vram on the 3080.

Unfortunately they're just shit, nvidia isn't intel, nivida are unironically visionaries who think 5+ years in the future when designing their stuff which is why AMD will always be a step behind. Nobody thought CUDA was a good idea when it came out and it became a revolution for the use of GPUs in the workplaces.

The RT stuff is the same, when it's commonplace in every game nvidia will have an unbeatable tech advantage and AMD fans will be hoping the next GPU brings the fight to it just the same as they have for years now.

>Hardware Unboxed

Attached: 38c[1].jpg (1024x834, 84.12K)

Same shit with DLSS. I get that its "muh free fps" but it has been implemented in like 40 titles over 2 years. Nobody plays most of those games too

John Carmack has been talking about ray tracing for 20 damn years user, he had working prototypes at GDC where the performance hit was 99.99%.
Now the hit is ~40%. That's not fucking infancy.

>supporting nshitia and their literal spyware drivers
Nvidia is trash.

Usually when this happens it's a rogue PR guy getting way ahead of himself after being anally devastated from a particularly bad review.
They might be too small a channel for them to care, but I'm guessing Nvidia will get enough shit for them to reverse this. I really fucking doubt the actual Nvidia approved line is "Rasterization doesn't matter."

This is fucking stupid. Reviews should be covering all of it. Nobody wants to play at lower resolutions if they can help it, so telling us how 4k performs is important information.

The whole concept of "review copies" should be fucking outlawed across all industries.

What's in it for you that Hardware Unboxed™® can continue (without paying a measly $1000)?

>Nvidia try to stop a diverse range of observations in reviews
No user that's not a good guy thing at all.

I mean, why not just do both? You would literally being cover more uses of the product and giving your readers more information.

So nvidia won't send them the most finely tuned, cream of the crop cards to review anymore?
sounds like a good thing. they can buy a piece of hardware off Newegg and sample a legit card instead of one from the limited hardware journalist edition run.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_with_ray_tracing_support

Attached: 1590439301523.jpg (800x999, 91.8K)

But they are doing both.
They're just not talking about RT enough for Nvidia's tastes.

>good. get hardware off the shelf like the rest of us and review that so we can get real reviews
You and every other retard wont care or even click on the review if it comes 1 week later

Hey, at least their drivers work.

Attached: 1563440405687.jpg (1024x914, 59.19K)

They are doing both but they are not spending half of the video focusing only on raytracing

You mean bad guys.
Raytracing is cool but nobody really know how to use it in games. They spam it in glasses for glamour effect. Raytracing is a tool, not the solution. In the future it will be great because will know how and when to use it. For now, it sucks.
It reminds me when shaders were a thing and every game used it to make every object looking like glossy plastic.

It's insane how many people in this thread just hate improvements for the sake of hating them. Don't want to prove because it's needlessly expensive? Understandable. Hate hardware that makes these improvements cheap and available? Fucking kill yourself. I'd love to have a card that can push 4k with RT at 120 FPS, and we can only get closer by exploring it in the first place. I can't do the mental gymnastics required to figure out how games looking better is a bad thing.

@535729747
didnt read lol

>You and every other retard wont care or even click on the review if it comes 1 week later
Yeah I will since the GPUs will be unavailable for the first 2 months anyway.

so they can test the card without me having to buy it. What would happen if you were not here to defend Nvidia for free? It's one more reviewer and if you are hurt by it you don't have to read it. How does anyone benefit from fewer reviews besides Nvidia and the golems doing free PR?

Oh then Nvidia are just assholes.

Hey nigger, why would you benchmark it at an average to low setting instead pushing the limit of what a GPU can do? every GPU should be benchmark at 4K, highest setting, RT/DLSS on and see the performance. From there, you can just scale it down

Attached: 1605905729723.jpg (329x399, 31.35K)

Honestly how invested these AMD guys are is kind of weird. When I need to upgrade I make my comparisons and fuck off. I remember people hyping up AMD even when they weren't doing so hot in comparison. Of course now on the cpu side they're better, but that earlier support was kinda odd for them. Maybe some online marketing there.

>Tech channel doesn’t get free gpus to review
>Tech channel can’t shit out a review at the same time as other tech channels that still get free gpus
>Tech channel now has to buy the gpu when it’s available like everyone else
>Tech channel cries on Twitter
I’m supposed to care why exactly?

I know it's been talked about for a long time, but it's infancy in terms of how many games have utilized it, and how many gamers will actually use the fucking thing when it gives them sub 60 fps

>Hey nigger, why would you benchmark it at an average to low setting instead pushing the limit of what a GPU can do? every GPU should be benchmark at 4K, highest setting, RT/DLSS on and see the performance. From there, you can just scale it down
YOu fucking retarded tech illiterate dont even realize youre contradicting yourself with all these buzzwords.

The GPU load is higher in lower resolutions.
GPU load is higher WITHOUT DLSS

kiss yourself

DLSS upscaling from 1080p to 4k with blur filter is what you must pay $700 for.

This same thing happened with VR.

I think the days of video games being an enthusiast's hobby are over.
All progress is getting ground to a halt by normalfags who hate any sign of progress.
Just look at the homogenization of controllers. God forbid someone introduce something new and scare aware the cash cows.

what you know about gpus will be closer to what nvidia wants you to know
