I only really play in person for the most part, also I heard Tekken's online is doodoo. Has that changed? None of my tard friends play me in fighting games anymore, so if there's one with online that won't make me cry, it might be time. Besides GGXXAC+R and Melee, I already play those.

Why does it look so janky

no because you can see the bottom one they're actually using diffrente moves, defenses, reversals, grapples and even doing the simple thing of dodging to the sides (you know something that you can only in 3D fighters)

While the above, well... it's the usual tekken shit routine of doing korean backdashes until someone whiffs and you punish him with your electrics

why are they not touching each other? the movement looks interesting, but its like 2 incels trying to hover-hand wrestle without hurting each other by accident

all of the 3d fighters have animations from the PS2 era and sometimes even worse.

i mean. be honest with me and with yourself. Yes tekken is not really using a lot of the potential 3D offers. But at least the hits feel and look like heavy hit. Both gifs you posted of the other game look like children playing pretend at a karate-pre show in middle school. They dont even touch each other visually and none of the "hits" leave any reaction of the characters. Its like a choreography

one of the coolest characters ever made that is to hard to use. poking and moving is your gameplan. hard to do in this system where launchers are so strong.

i wished i could delete hwoarang from the game but give haunting hawk to Lee. would fit him perfectly.

It's Tekken... Nothing really changes between seasons. Netcode is a bit better I guess, 4 bar feels like 5 bar.

As someone who has never touched a VF game, I think it's cool how you can dodge on the spot like that.

oh believe me i was talking about soul cal 6 and doa 5 as well.
these animations are trash. character models barely touch each other, 0 omph, barebones presentation. animations are the most important thing for gameplay and tekken has the best ones. DoA5 might have better looking stages or some better looking female characters but nothing of this matters when your gameplay feels worse. i do hope that kof15 steps up.

how can you say that with a straight face? The video you posted looks like 2 people dancing. just like those capo videos, where they pretend to almost hit each other. gameplay is slow, doesnt have weight to it. it looks fake and janky. yes, it might have the most moves and the best/complex system, but it looks and feels bad. so how is it a good game?

Something I've heard about VF is that defense options are very final. If you sidestep a move which is meant to be sidestepped, it doesn't matter if the character models touch each other, you will avoid it completely because you performed the right defensive option. Weras in Tekken and SC you can still be clipped by moves when you sidestep dpeending on various factors. Is that right?
