System Shock 2 but worse.
System Shock 2 but better.
A good game, although Bioshock 2 is better.
Good on you for both denying cyberpunk faggotry, and staying old gen
are you playing the trilogy?
2 is the best then 1 then 3 but 3 isn't as bad as everyone says it is
Okay shooter, can be pretty fun. Kino setting.
Bioshock 2 but better
Bioshock 2 was shit. Only people here think the game is good
the gameplay in bioshock 2 is better, story is worse, level design, weapons, plasmids are similar
Based
Cringe
Also op don't bother with Infinite, only 1 and 2 are good. Play Minerva's Den after 2 it's kino.
in for a fun game bro
dont forget the wrench fucks shit up with the right upgrades, so dont waste ammo too much
Trilogy, yeah. Hopefully i can pretend i paid full price for it and not CP77
dont forget the mouse fix
the game is not good and aged badly too, it looks as if someone vomited allover, its just so ugly with crude models and low res greasy textures,
gameplay was never good, its a clusterfuck thats not any fun and super easy too, because they made a bunch of systems but had no talent to build fun missions and levels around them so they ended up piling it all together and then toned it down for console retards
the only thing that carries it is the world design and story/writing, it was interesting to explore and uncover, but janky gameplay and subpar visuals killed all the enjoyment for me
played it first on release, tried to replay few years ago and just couldn't stomach it
It's one of my favorite FPS
If you really love it play the sequel afterwards, otherwise play Prey which is similar but in space
Boring and forgettable railroad shooter.
terrible opinion
for how much infinite is getting hated on - its all the same, great world - and far better looking too, but thats expected with better tech, decent writing - even if you hate how the plot goes
but absolute shitfest messy gameplay where you dont even need all the abilities, Levine is like a western Kojima, he should make movies, not games
on a contrast Bioshock2 being so bland actually has tight gameplay - that's why it stands out as more enjoyable but less interesting for the 'muh story' crowd, also sadly it never got any marketing push, most people were not even aware of it
>its just so ugly with crude models and low res greasy textures,
what?
The only correct way to play Bioshock is to delete your save as soon as you encounter Andrew Ryan
A slow console shooter with shallow enemy variety, boring levels, shit-feeling guns and mostly underpowered powers.
But you can absolutely powerhouse through it in an afternoon to see what people think about it. The ending is hilariously bad but it does have some good moments.
a mediocre, linear fps, that retards who never played ss like to compare to system shock even though the only thing it has in common with those games is audio logs.
Minerva's Den was a great balance of story and gameplay imo, best in the series honestly.
And a lot of key staff from Looking Glass who made the game.
And the camera system. And the psi power styled plasmids. And the plot twist. And the vending machines. And the enemy respawn system. And the ammo type system. And the ability to hack cameras, containers and turrets. And the reconstruction chambers. And a research system.
dont listen to a fucking thing the contrarians on this site say and just play the game.
Underwater Half Life 2.
In other words, it’s brilliant
BS2 had slightly better gameplay, but the story was garbage by comparison. I wouldn't play any *shock game solely for the gameplay anyway, it's mostly about the character building, fun gimmicks, and story.
Now go walk into a corner and zoom in on the textures. What's that, you don't spend most of your time in a game staring at walls to make sure the textures are high-res enough for you?
What's wrong with you? It looks fine
You need to learn how to read sarcasm better, user.
Bad example of sarcasm.
>And a lot of key staff from Looking Glass who made the game.
>a lot
>having the same employees mean same game?
shut up bro. you have to make such a stretch to make your point that you’re trying to say that looking through the cameras is a major fucking mechanic of either game. What do plasmids do differently than a weapon to call them a mechanic unique to the series? Enemy respawn point is false because in bioshock it’s not spawning shit, it’s where YOU respawn and all you have to do is walk by it. Hacking isn’t for turrets in 1 and in 2 the reason it’s good is because ITS BASED ON YOUR STATS.
SPOILER: the reason SS1 and 2 are hyped up are because of the immersive sim and rpg mechanics respectively. Bioshock is a linear FPS where the most agency you have is if you want to kill the little girls or not for a different ending cutscene. There is no open ended problem solving, there are no alternate ways to profress depending on your build. It’s a straight up hallway that hand holds you to the end without ever prompting the player to come up with a unique solution. Try actually playing the games before fellating your shit taste.
You're retarded.
