It's been a while since anyone posted this so I'll leave this here.
I install everything on C: but that's because I'm not a poorfag and have a 2TB NVMe SSD.

>I'm downloading this 100Gb GOG version
yikes. you should download from fitgirl, at least with her you aren't forced to download all the language packs that bloat the size.
>can't even download entire packs to pick, edit and listen to at your own convenience

Funny that a fucking normalfag from Reddit is calling others "normals". kys you fucking cretin.

Says the poorfag that doesn't have 1TB of system RAM with 512GB dedicated as a RAMDISK turned on 24/7 backed up by a UPS to never lose power.
I thought the game was DRM free
I have 32GB of ram. Do I disable the pagefile or no?
I have no internet connection on my PC, it's only used for games, what's the problem?
No. Some applications tend to use pagefile regardless of system ram like photoshop and gump.
>Z: XD
Unbased paypig
No, you make it double the size of your RAM, brainlet.
If you only play Singleplayer games, it's even more of a reason to just play on Linux
My Z: drive is my Veracrypt encrypted drive where I keep my collection.
No. Assuming something is poorly designed (see Guild Wars 2 containing the entire game in a single 80GB file) games may start to miraculously run like shit with no page file and run great with one.
Unless you're absolutely sure you'll never use any piece of software where it's combined size with your OS installation size is less than 32GB, do not disable the page file.
on paper no
not having one can cause crashes sometimes when it tries to dump memory for an error or something, some games are coded to use a page file and look for one

I keep getting an error after running the game
Something like
Cyberpunk has flatlined, antibody else with this error? How do you fix it?
I dont use photoshop or gump.
Linux on desktop is garbage. Xorg is ancient and Wayland turned out to be awful. Every desktop environment is either incomplete, full of bugs, bloated or just ugly.
I have tried, even on the "game friendly" distros like Pop!_OS I get kernel crashes because of my GPU. (AMD 5700XT)
I use Linux for work, but there's no multiplayer PC games I'm interested in so I have an offline Windows "console" for the vidya.
>Minor kernel updates break the system
Can't even take the rest seriously, whomever wrote that is highly delusional or just plain shit at administrating his own PC.
It's partly true though. Might not break the system but some part of it. This is why you use LTS versions of the most popular distros.
t. used Arch Linux for years.
>This is why you use LTS versions of the most popular distros
b-b-b-b-but I won't get the cool features I'll never use from the latest Ubuntu nightly!
Top. Fucking. Kek. Of course some Arch faggot would chime in. I've done a couple thousand kernel updates (several hundred machines, multiple updates a year) on Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, never did a kernel update break a system. The only time things start to break are major distro upgrades, but even that's better these days.
