Byleth at least had outrage to fuel their place in peoples mind.
People just kinda stopped thinking about min min.

It's a character that not many wanted. On top of that, her play style is boring. It fits well for her game, just not so well in Smash.

I still love Min Min's inclusion, mostly because of how distinct she is compared to how homogeneous the roster is.
I also played competitive Arms for a bit so I do have a soft spot for Min Min's inclusion.

Byleth lives on as being a hated character, but at least she's still more remembered than Min Min for better or worse lol

She's a character that would've fit better as a base roster inclusion rather than a DLC, but ARMS came out too late to be included.

Still a good character though, and her trailer was cool.

The base roster choices were finalized before Arms came out. There was no chance of anyone in that game, or any switch game to make it in the base roster.

Byleth is a more despicable choice than MinMin. Sakurai should have never included Byleth.

HOWEVER, Byleth is a cooler character and actually has fun gameplay. Minmin is unfun whitebread unintuitive cowshit, just like the game she is from.

Sakurai didn't include Byleth. He had no say on the picks, just on if they could be a viable character or not.

Rosterfaggotry has been taken over by people who only want the biggest unrepresented icons, if this was Smash 4 or Ultimate pre-beta people would be more accepting of someone who isn't Crash.
