when I saw the L4D1 cinematic for the first time I thought the characters were uninspired and generic. they were much better in game except for zoey who is forgettable as fuck

I was mildly interested when this got unveiled, but then it turned out to be that half the game reveals were co-op horde shooters and this one looked the worst of them all.
The trailer in particular was so fucking stiff and boring, no action, nothing intense - they're just standing in the middle of a street, trading crappy lines and occasionally shooting completely non-threatening zombies. That cinematic was supposed to get me hyped or at least interested, not bore me to death. Meanwhile, L4D2's gets me pumped every time I watch it.
