Blatantly unfinished, come back in 8 months when they've finished it, got the QoL features out, added some extra content and a fucking barber.

Otherwise it's a fairly slow console shooter with lots of chaining quests and a boring map.

At its best it plays like a discount Deus Ex, and thats in-between hours of boring on-rails shit. Its probably not shit but its nothing special as the only standout thing are the visuals, which are only great some of the time.

Yes. it had some dumb bugs and everyone was disappointed by the visual downgrade, but not nearly to that extent.

I played the first 6 or 7 hours today, got through the keanu interlude
there was only one part in the beginning where I wasn't stuck in linear conversation and progression and cinematics and could actually do world events
the keanu interlude was actually almost an hour combined with surrounding cinematics and I just wanted to get up for some fucking coffee and it wouldn't just stop

The main story, Side quests and characters are pretty kino and the gameplay is pretty fun but everything else is pretty mediocre. Its like the Witcher but with shittier performance and in a Cyberpunk setting.

It plays like HR. A lot of the quests are just whatever that have nothing interesting going on with them, only 3 good ones: the funeral, delamians and the messiah, but the messiah one doesn't let me do what I want to do in it. A lot of these quests just don't let you do what you want to do, like helping the Messiah guy escape or in other quests you can't kill people giving you shit.
The clown one could have been cool if it was longer then fucking 2 minutes but it was probably just a stupid visual pun I guess.
Also, there are no real important choices to make over the course of the game to save peoples lives you actually give a fuck about, its really just about who you side with at the end and if you did side quests to help very specific people like Johnny and Panam. Having to do side quests to get a decent ending is shitty in an RPG, it kind of ruins the replay value. I don't want to do this all AGAIN in another run when theres not really any choice in how to handle things differently or different choices in the actual main game that change anything.

it's a weird combination of Deus Ex and Fallout Nev Vegas with the story and side quest quality of Witcher 3 setup in a open world never ever created by any studio

to be honest, it only lacks a single sandbox gameplay feature like upgrading apartment / managing gang or anything similar that would fill the space between quests and combat. it would be a perfect game with something like this

game has a gigantic potential and it wiill be a real gem with all the DLCs and updates cdpr will release in the upcoming years

It's okay. I'm liking it well enough because I never really expected it to be anything more than a shooter after all the previews. It's not really an RPG, but it does look very gorgeous and at least the animation department of CDPR still seems to know what the fuck they're doing.
Worth noting I'm playing on a fairly good PC, so I didn't run into the worst of the graphical oversights and bugs that the console people have to deal with. I feel like a lot of the more vitriolic hatred comes from people who chose (or had) to play on consoles because yeah, I imagine it looking like crap and running at 15fps and it's probably a miserable experience.

It's not perfect, but I found it to be very good for what it is, resisting real hard from playing it right now. However, it is quite buggy, especially in the animation department.
