No, it didn't, Nintendo and Sakamoto are shoving it in the background, Zero Suit was only prominent in a remake and that third person game after that, there was no reason for it to ever be playable in the series again because it served its purpose. It's only real appearance is in Smash and since Ultimate is pretty much the last one, Zero Suit will probably die in the background in the future since Samus is seen as the Power Suit.

instead of having the DNA of bird people, she's infused with that of a race of snake-based ayylmaos- which of course give her the ability to swallow her enemies whole. the game's focus is shifted to ensuring you balance your calorie count and weight, as you can get fat and no longer will fit through certain doorways- although the weight can help you break through brittle floors.
it will add a tremendous deal more depth to the gameplay system, which is of course the primary and sole reasoning for my suggestions
