Could it have been worse? Yes, people were expecting garbage like Jonesy from Fortnite. But it's overall a letdown and I think many people will come to that conclusion when they get their hands on him.

Not to be a downer but i find Sephiroth to be disappointing.
The Final Fantasy representation in Smash is not that great in all honesty.
The franchise is so much more than just FF7 and yet it keep overshadowing the rest of the franchise.
FF7 by itself can not represent FF as a whole and Smash only focusing on one game in the franchise is disappointing. It's like representing Pokemon with only gen 1 characters.
What about a character from the modern era or even the retro Nintendo era?
I have nothing against him on his own but as a Smash character i actually do like him, on paper, but i don't like him on principle.
