>this made boomers HOWL in the 00's
This made boomers HOWL in the 00's
>implying zoomer humor isn't the exact same
>We want the Undertale audience
Even as a 12 year old kid that made me cringe when lolsorandumb humor was peak comedy for me.
still does
Today it'd be
>We're the based shroob allies.
>We'll rek you and then kek.
>Then you go and dilate.
Don't act like internet slang has gotten less stupid since then.
I'm the age of the people who thought talking like this was funny. Let me assure all of the zoomers out there; it wasn't funny back then either. It was cringe, except no one said "cringe" back then so these autists were oblivious.
These
Those are more organic, hence you're wrong, and you also sound like a fag.
Faggot OP, let's change the subject
What is your dream M&L on the switch if alpha dream was still alive?
A game that isn't 90% handholding.
Bowser's Inside Story remake but Peach is Bowser
What games actually handhold you other than gay tutorials.
>we'll yeet you and then dab
>and then you'll be salty
If anything humor has become less subtle
I remember playing maplestory in the mid-2000s and everyone would say shit like "I love pie XD" and even as a 15 year old I couldn't fucking stand it.
In a decade all the kids you're relating to will call calling things "cringe" whatever the new word for cringe is and you will still be here to assure them a mario game localization's humor was way beneath you.
honestly I loved the hell out of Dream Team and I'd like basically that with the 2 worlds mechanic, each world having a different combat style, but with a better story and with Bowser completely written out of the plot. Alphadream signed it's death sentence when they pushed out Paper Jam and didn't make it about switching between the normal world and the paper world.
why is it ok when super paper mario does it and in several hundred more words
And I'll still be right, damn it.
all the games up to Dream Team have a 20 seconds or so tutorial for every single new mechanic introduced. I don't need a tutorial to tell me that i can hit stuff when riding the Luigi legion ball.
>muh tutorials are handholding
nigger are you retarded, you do realize children play these games too
Actually the original idea for Paper Jam was switching between the real and paper world. Somewhere along the way it got shelved and we got a soulless version of it.
Fucking paper mario and his stealing the soul out of anything it touches.
I blame paper mario and nintendo in general, they have been defanging any original ideas from their games, it's fucking sad
And people act like shit localization from these companies is a new thing
it's not, spm sucks
holy shit is this real?
The strange thing is that Dream Team was soulful as fuck and had very interesting mechanics, places, enemies and character interactions. It all went down the shitter the moment Paper Mario was thrown into the mix and they had to make all the enemies shitty normal mario platformer enemies and strip all the soul away because paper mario is either cursed or being held hostage by nintendo's lawyers.
The more things change...
Dream Team was in development for a while so I assume they started before this whole sterilizing of mario games began.
but the butterfly made me cry and the chameleon with glasses is so relatable
Society is collapsing
Shroob's food and soob
Formerly Sneed's
Damn. I'm gonna miss the good M&L games so bad...
Hope some competent indie dev one day makes a good M&L esque game like Bug Fables did with Paper Mario
Wrong, it made us ROFLMAO. Fuck zoomers and especially fuck your stupid tiktok dances.
i can tell youre a 12 year old because everyone bitched about this back then
That's an American localization problem. Nothing to do with boomers.
Ain't that the truth
We called it gay instead of cringe. Also saying cringe sounds fucking gay too.
Boomers only exist in America retard
>people act like shit localization from these companies is a new thing
Nobody says that, though. The point is that anime, manga, film and even porn localization have improved massively since then, but video game translations are still amateurish shit. It never used to be good.
