Like, does everyone who isnt the 4 protagonists get to play as different deadites? Because that would actually be fucking great, if its just one player like Friday the 13th its not the same, I want to see like 12 people vs 4 with different deadites having different abilities, even controlling the environment like traps if they run out of lives or have that be an ability.

all it needs is the Raimi charm, the chainsaw being a central mechanic with ridiculously funny set pieces and unironically QTE's but good ones with Raimi's camera work. I would argue it could work as a devil may cry or Bayonetta style beat 'em up but more grounded like god of war, or how Mortal Kombat is very grounded compared to MvC. based on what we saw in the trailer its gonna have none of that and be some sort of souless 4 player zombie survival. we didnt really see much in the first trailer but it still didnt look good, its not looking like single player.

It just has to not play like shit, and NOT be a friday the 13th clone. Dont know how it could be considering how many enemies you see at that there is a focus oncombat. Is there a "director" player that sets off traps, fucks with the environment and spawns enemies? They told so little about the actual game.

The very first bit of gameplay we saw was Ash and his 3 buds slaying dudes. Why would you think it's a DBD knock off?

Sounds like that Zombie Master mod for HL2. Could be neat if done correctly.

The theory at the moment is that Ash was set to be in MK11, (which is why his name was in the datamining leaks), but had to be pulled out at the last second when this Evil Dead game got off the ground.

I've enjoyed every evil dead game, even with the jank. Hopefully this is fun at least
