52FPS on a GTX 1080 / i7-7700 1080p on high settings, not even ultra

>52FPS on a GTX 1080 / i7-7700 1080p on high settings, not even ultra
what the fuck

noooooooooo my 4yo high end hardware should perform like current year high end hardware at all situations!

yes? I run 2k 60 on ff15 with 4k textures on and re2 at 2k 80 with a fucking 1070. this game doesnt look better than those two.

Devs are lazy and rely on the crouch of DLSS to optimize their game for them. If you don't have an RTX card now your rig is basically obsolete. Go try play Control or Death Stranding with your current set up and see how you go.

No OP, you don't understand, it's okay that the game looks like something from 3 years ago on anything but the highest settings, it's supposed to look like that.
Just upgrade bro.

>Go try play Control or Death Stranding with your current set up and see how you go.
Ironically, both of those games run vastly better than Cyberpunk.

shit game, spend 20 times more on your hardware in vain hopes to make it run better. you're welcome

>Go try play Control or Death Stranding with your current set up and see how you go.
Death stranding runs VERY well.
Control doesn't run that well but is visually very impressive and you can see a HUGE difference with RTX on and off.

Cyberpunk neither runs well, neither looks good.

My 2080 shits the bed in the streets with ray tracing on

Next gen grafix, CDPR is a smarr indie dev, prease undastandu.
Optimization hard.

1440p?

is 52 fps your low or your average fps? I would have a hoped a 1080 would get a solid 60fps or higher on ultra at 1080p.

>1080 Not TI
>I7

You're fucking retarded

also how much ram do you have?

it's extremely low
a 1080 should not have problems running games on fucking 1080p

ok guys hear me out here:
we've seen a bunch of bugs in which certain objects will just disappear, most notably clothing.
but what no one seems to be talking about is how... the character models are just fully modeled under the clothing?
like bugs where your character's pants will just disappear and you can see their bare naked ass A-posing on a motorcycle or that other one where some npc's face augments disappear and he has a fully modeled face underneath.
like shouldn't that stuff be occluded? why is it even there?
like no wonder the game runs like shit, every npc has like thousands upon thousands of polygons being rendered for no fucking reason

no I meant is 52 fps your typical fps while playing cyberpunk or is it normally something higher like 70 or something but then can drop down to as low as 52?

I get like 15 fps on my 2060 with RTX on.

1080 but with 6700k here bro. i switched to medium across the board and its a steady 60. play with settings and turn down the most expensive ones if you really wanna play with the rest at high. vehicles, specifically in 3rd person stutter fps still. i changed pedestrian spawns to medium since high still feels barren anyway. might not impact performance too much since its in the gameplay tab
also, i can occasionally see trees and foliage through walls, as if its being brought to the top layer of the screen..

are you using dlss? also what level of ray tracing, and what level of graphic settings, and what resolution?

4 core CPUs are obsolete for gaming at this point

Time to upgrade PasCuck.

On high? Indoors it's something around 65/70. Outside it's 52/55.

>ultra
There is no ultra. There is only high, the ultra settings are shadows, fog and reflections. All of which tank your FPS while providing next to no visible difference in quality. I have a 1070 and I play 60 frames no problem with the occasional dips to 50 in big crowds and driving really fast.

>i7-7700

well at least that is a bit better and closer to what I expected, but that still sounds like it is underperforming for 1080p with a 1080

Yeah actually

10900k with a 3090, high-ultra with auto DLSS and ultra RTX @ 4k and it stays around 60 most of the time. might dip into the 40's under intense loads.

>Max settings on 3090
>7FPS
Your point?

>Devs are lazy and rely on the crouch of DLSS to optimize their game for them
Shit I never considered this. This might actually start happening.

>are you using dlss?
Yes
>also what level of ray tracing,
Medium-psycho (doesn't seem to make that much of a difference)
and what resolution?
1080p. I need to upgrade my monitor.

Not to sound too pollyannaish but CDPR is fairly decent on working on fixing their games even after release to improve them going as far back the way they handled the original Witcher game and eventually rereleased the "Enhanced Edition" as a patch fix.

Holy shit, cyberpunk optimization is shit

>GTX 1080
>1440p, 70% resolution scaling
>Mix of low/medium
>Is always hovering between 30 and 50

Why

Even Gsync can't save it. It's mindblowing going from 40fps cyberpunk back to 144fps Overwatch and seeing how much that framerate really impacts the game.
