I'm cautiously optimistic, but I am sad that we won't be continuing Isaac's story, which had such an unsatisfying ending.
I liked this trailer though, I thought the monster was spoopy. Gave me The Thing vibes. I'm not sure if what was happening was taking place on the ship that was landing or the base (I assume the base). If it's a prison it could even have some Butcher Bay type elements going on.

for all we know Callisto (the moon) in the dead space universe is a prison planet that has yet to be affected by the brother moons, so its entirely possible its in teh same universe.

EA will never let that happen, so it's going to be just a shitload of wink wink nudge nudge references that fans will pick up on. Glen (and his marketing team) did well in stuffing the reveal full of these and declaring the game to be a single player survival horror game to signal to DS fans that this is going to be straight up DS1/2 with the numbers filed off.
