There is a larger up front cost, yes.
But when you aren't paying to use your own internet with the console, have access to emulation, the full catalog of all games released on Windows, it winds up being worth it.
And the PC can do much more than game.
Also I ain't trading away 144hz any time soon now that I have discovered it.
