So are we in agreement now that RDR2 is the king AAA open-world RPG?

mental midget
Yikes
great game
not very replayable
it always was
Yes,
Anyone saying otherwise is retarded.
in terms of it being an incredible open world yea, it wins by a huge margin just due to the varied wildlife and weather effects
>not very replayable
objectively false
I take RPG to mean multiple life paths and multiple ways to resolve quests. The railroaded story is so central to RDR2 that it doesn't qualify.
anyone who even thought of the possibility of CDPR outdoing Rockstar is a literal retard
can we mod it into deus ex?
Open world, maybe. RPG? nope
>RPG
Most definitely, but there is still so much room for improvement. I really hope Rockstar get over their insane fixation on overly cinematic and scripted crap, and actually go back to making games that are fun to play. RDR2 with tighter controls, more meaningful survival mechanics and greater mission variety would be absolutely GOAT.
Shut up nerd.
I played GTA and FO way longer than RDR2. RDR2 is beautiful but ultimately a little boring. They also really fucked up the gunplay.
Its the only game ive ever been able to replay
Have sex incel.
I think its because of the setting that limit your sandbox experience, what else can you do in old western cowboys era?
yes
based
Time for you to play the game xoomie
>anyone who even thought of the possibility of CDPR outdoing Rockstar is a literal retard
Dude you know how many retarded shills were going about before this game was released?
They were that fucking desperate.
they did pretty much everything they could in terms of mission variety for a cowboy setting imo, i'm fine with the linear missions because the world is so alive that i literally spent the first 40 hours just riding around the entire map and not progressing, the story is just there as a contrast to that
>they hated him because he spoke the truth
True, but it still has the best charscters in vidya period.
Stop talking about yourself
HORSE

TECHNOLOGY
This you even had these damn shills saying certain cyberpunk series (even throwing Blade Runner in there) weren't Cyberpunk and that CP2077 was a True Cyberpunk game......Pathetic.
>RPG
lol no
It is my favourite open world in any game right now though.
>it was a braindead soijack poster all along
like clockwork, get off the internet before your mom gets mad zoomy
Its okay child. Go to your room.
it isn't an RPG, it just has RPG elements like every other video game now. having occasional meaningless choices and a dumb karma meter doesn't count
I think the issue is not so much the variety then, but the execution. Missions generally boiled down to "go here, have gunfight, escape" or "go here, complete heavily scripted sequence, have gunfight, escape", even though the scenarios were quite varied.
For example, there were plenty of sneaking missions, but they were so railroady that it didn't feel like it was a proper stealth mission. You just walk exactly where the game tells you to, kill exactly who the game tells you to, wait for as long as the game tells you to. It would have been nice to have some missions where you had to sneak through a compound without having your hand held the whole time. It's so railroaded that it just feels like every other mission where you're guided along a strict path. It doesn't help pretty much every mission ends with a huge gunfight.
I'd have just liked more missions where you had a bit of agency. The shootouts were generally the only time they let you off the leash, which is why I think they exploited them so much.
How the fuck is it an RPG? RPG as i. You role play as a cowboy? Does that make
super Mario bros an RPG in the sense you play as a Mario?
Listen to what you just said....
