Are you not a degenerate? Would you play Solarpunk?

Can people please show some creativity and stop adding punk to the end of something to name a genre? That aside, sure.

How do games like this ever fail to be nominated for art direction or win awards for it while tank top zombie adventures wins it every single time?

Regardless of anyone's thoughts on Hades, the fact that it lost Art Direction to TLOU 2 is fucking laughable.

most award platforms are politics anyway

Ok, punk

What does -punk mean?

it’s thing...but punk. get it?

Maybe, care to name some solarpunk games?

Not really. Don't assume that just because Hades has a bright color palette and silly character designs means it had better artistry. As always, be sure to -play- games before dismissing them or you're no better than the Critics you bash.

Poverty, crime, class conflict, grunge, stuff like that.

There is no game that looks as good as this, this is concept art at best.

Journey to the west is kinda solar punk-ish.

we really need a tokyo jungle sequel

That's really sad.

Means anti-authority.
Which is why so much of the -punk subgenres piss so many people off. Take Frostpunk for example. Why did they call it that? Because people recognize the naming convention.
But in the game you are literally the authority. So why the fuck did they call it that?

I guess it's personal preference. Naughty Dog does good art design, but I far preferred Hades.

That tram is death trap

Ancestors.

Would I play a nigger stuck in a green city full of wypeepo? Fuck yes.

All those leaves would be a nightmare for my computer to render

This game was so much fun to play co-op.
I'd kill for a PC port with online support.

i think it used to mean any corporation, but nowadays it means to be tied to some heavy-industrial aspect

sorry, fucked that up, meant to say "anti" corporation

I looked it up, it's some sort of art movement devoted to designing cities that solve some of today's priblems. As much as I hate artists and above all, architects, it looks cool and I'd like to hear out their solution to the nigger problem.

Can i play as an animal and fuck around with humans?

anti-establishment/authority, its called -punk because its roots with the actual punk culture. Cyberpunk is pretty obvious, steampunk was originally a joke term coined by a "steampunk' author because of how often it was compared to cyberpunk, and solarpunk is basically cyberpunk but with an optimistic outcome.

In a general sense, it means there's some underlying problem with the society that people are standing up against.
For solarpunk to actually be punk, you would need some shit like government control over economic friendliness taking priority over individual safety and freedoms. Maybe when you die, your body is confiscated by the government and turned into mulch. A comically extreme case would be littering being an offense punishable by death.
