Why even ask when it's clear that you'd just bitch about it anyway?
Shin megami tensei 4 was the last great smt game.
No. It just adds more unnecessary bullshit.
>Shin megami tensei 4
Opinion invalid but alright.
It’s jarring how well written at least for persona 5 standards the third semester is in comparison to the rest of the game. Makes me look forward to Persona 6 desu.
Never forget youtu.be
Obviously not, it didn't fix any of the actual problems with Persona 5.
Playing through it now after playing vanilla P5 a few years back. Just got to the point where you can freely explore Mementos for the first time. For the most part it doesn't feel that different so far. The new demon varieties are interesting and spice up a few battles, but that's about it. I'm pretty sure most of the new content is backloaded though so I have a ways to go.
Not sure if it's my memories are fucking with me but there are several points where it feels like they changed things around the dungeons, not even just the new locations and the grapple hook spots, but new puzzles and shit in the first palace. I do appreciate that I can finally do things at night again, It's surprising how much of a improvement it is already.
Im going to start soon but never played the original P5.
How do i access the additional content? i need to max someones link or something? I dont plan on playing this twice so i dont wanna miss it.
MORE PANTYHOSE
PLEASE
ALSO STANDING SPLITS ARE WELCOME
>How do i access the additional content?
You basically have a storage box in your room and as soon as you have access to it after your first combat you can get the dlc from it
Vanilla P5 >>>> Royal
Yeah. Atlus should have saved Maruki as the big bad for Persona 6. He's too good for P5.
Max this son of a bitch by November 18 and you'll get the extra content. He's the only character required to do that.
I think the ending is more fulfilling but there are still some weird flaws with how the story is written that didn't really happen in p4g. But overall I would say yes. The gameplay is much better in royal too.
>want to play this game so I decide to plough through the rest of persona 4 golden before I do so
>I picked the game back up from where I left off which was just after defeating shadow naoto
>clocked in 30 hours in the last 3 days
>the game still has two whole dungeons left to go
jesus I know I beat persona 5 previously which is known to be longer but this game feels like it goes on forever, I would have assumed it would just end after capturing the murderer.
Can someone explain what is this game anyway? A sequel? Spin off? A version with more features? I dont get it.
this
the ending in particular ruined P5 Royal for me
I think the ending is what tanked the hardest
>Ruins the pacing of the original ending and all your confidants working together to rally the people and get you off jail
>Akechi gets to live and even gets redeemed. Joker suddenly has a homo crush on him that he would sell the world out to save him
>The final road trip with your friends is now just them driving you to a train station ruining all the romance of the original
It's getting Maruki to rank 9 prior to November 18th, it's also better story wise if you max Kasumi prior as well as well as get Akechi to 8 while picking the choices to say he's your rival and accepting his glove.
I can’t think of a single person who liked the bullshit after the murderer plot. Marie is a dogshit character and fighting Izanami makes no fucking sense.
Enhanced version with a extra month of story.
>The gameplay is much better in royal too.
It's a shame they didnt rebalance anything; all the new mechanics are fun, but they make an easy game trivial.
It's a version with more features. P5R adds a third semester, more confidants/social links (Maruki, Sumire, Akechi), and some QoL updates to the gameplay.
Nope. Still trash.

the virgin Getting cock blocked by a train Royal ending versus the Chad Perks of being a Wallflower vanilla ending
In what possible way was P5 disappointing compared to the previous entries? It's more polished in ever aspect.
I highly doubt it.
Persona 5 not being about literal thieves was garbage. Early trailers gave the impression it'd be Persona Lupin edition.
Even later on in the game the cast stop bothering to steal the meta treasure and becomes some soap opera.
Worst writing and characters of all time? Bloated, slow, and padded up the ass? It's garbage.
Thanks a lot anons.
I think P5 is one of the few games where I have a lot to hate about it, but I still like it a whole lot. The writing in particular is fucking horrible, but the characters are likable enough for me to be at the very least fine with it.
What makes such a simple piece of fabric become such an absurdly strong dick hardening fantasy maker?
