People actually play this for fun?

yeah

Game
Gsux

user, I... I'm sorry you got filtered.

Yes. Any other questions?

the insane amount of tracking and the unnaturally delayed attacks are so fucking retarded. positioning or movement are fucking useless in this game, you just roll at the right time. i don't know how people can say that the combat here was better than in Dark Souls 1. sure, blocking with your shield was too strong in that game and parrying too easy, but at least some enemy attacks were so strong that blocking was useless and you had to roll. the combat in DS1 is shallow like a puddle but still manages to be way deeper than that of DS3. the only fucking buttons i've ever used in DS3 apart from the analog stick were the circle and r1. what a shitty game

>Sullyvahn is hard
I will never understand you people. Probably the only boss to get weaker in his second phase. For the first don't panic roll and roll to the sides.

imagine getting filtered by pontiff lmaoooo

Dont worry user, you'll get Pontiff eventually
It took me 2 hours but I did it

Imagine being filtered by a basegame boss, lmao.

no not really
they play 1 for fun since thats the only good game with fun mods, challenge runs and such
they play the rest for epic gamer bragging rights

The first part is easy because I'm just circling him and baiting the ai.
The second phase I have no clue what to do because I just get gangbanged immediately.

Run back, the shadow is a slow, geriatric version of Sullyvahn who always telegraphs real Sully's attacks (he always repeats the shadows attack with like a 1,5 second delay), then, when they for example finish their slam attack, you can hack at them, they are also vulnerable for a short while when the shadow teleports back to sullyvahn (he comes back to him when they get too far away from each other). I always feel relieved when the shadow appears, because Sully becomes really slow and loses his crazy combos.

I don't understand. When I dodge the ghost. I immediately get hit by real one. It's not like they attack at the same location.
I honestly don't know what to do, my equipment load is very low but I still can't dodge the second attack. And if get hit by first I die instantly from the second because I'm stun locked.

Yeah I got my ass handed 4 or 5 times in his first phase until I understood his attack pattern. Killed me once while going into his second phase because I didn't expect the damage, but then I got him straight after that. His shadow is actually a big help to know what he'll do.

git gud

I summoned 1 guy and we destroyed him first try. Just summon. Fuck try hard who don't.

first time i beat him, i just hug his blue sword side. proud that it took me less than a day

>Probably the only boss to get weaker in his second phase.
You know that he doesn't always imitate the clone and both can act independently?
I went in with enough Stamina so that I could pull 7 rolls in succession. Dodged his spam combo of phase 1 reliabely on most attempts (still remember the fucking rythm) but simply ran out of Stamina when dodging his chain combos he spams with his clone.
>I will never understand you people.
Did you ever think about the fact that people play with different styles and builds?
It took me 4 hours to beat him yet I frist tried Champion Gundyr when the Youtube comment sections equally shit themselves at the mention of each Boss.
I played with Farron GS since I defeated the Abyss Watchers and Pontiff fucked me over because only 2-3 of his attacks in the 2nd face leave me a window to attack. Gundyr gave me so many more windows.

>When I dodge the ghost. I immediately get hit by real one. It's not like they attack at the same location.
Sullyvahn may be standing in a slightly different place so he will attack from a different point in the map, just try it out with this in mind
>see shadow attacking
>dodge it
>while you're dodgind keep in mind that sullyvahn will right now repeat the exact same attack that the shadow did
>dodge him too
and then there are some attacks which will leave you some breathing room to attack them.
>dodge his attack too.

I feel fucking insane in these threads. I'm not even that good at games, but I have never not oneshot this guy. What even is bad about this guy? Just fucking roll, even spam rolling should be enough. Just don't stand there like a retard and then cry when you get hit

>overcoming challanges
>using ur brain
>going from pleb to hero
Yes

Got filtered by lady 3 phase.

No other boss better exemplifies how much Miyazaki bastardised his own game by throwing everything good about DaS1's combat out the fucking window and instead just made Bloodborne 2.
God, this game was shit.

If you have the build for it then burst his phantom down as he summons it. If not the look for his slowest attacks which leave the greatest window and then attack him there.
The real one will usually follow up with the attacks of the phantom but as mentioned in this doesn't have to be the case.

This boss became a lot easier when I realized you could lock your camera on the enemy instead of manually moving your mouse frantically to readjust every time the fucker zooms around behind you.

If only the camrea locked reliabely.
It simply loses lock when he moves out of your vision fast.

I would agree that the only thing relevant being when you dodge should be expanded in future games. Bosses should be more than just that. They could for instance use the environment a lot more and perhaps making certain flurries of attacks too fast for dodging and they could be telegraphed with a flash or something, again emphazising positioning or even blocking the flurry to vary things up a bit.

>mouse

smug retards who speak for others are my favorite kind kek

nameless king was harder

i would really like if they made diferent defensive actions more usefull against different enemy attacks so that you have to think a bit and recognize what to do rather than just predicting when an attack comes in and not what kind of attack

He had a millimetre of health left, and then they just killed him in two hits.
Maybe next week when I have the chance to play again.
But right now, it's just impossible. First phase I can probably do it with my eyes closed, but second phase is just too much for me.

the camera has always been the most difficult enemy in fromsoft games
in sekiro it was especially bad since half the enemies had some sort of dash attack, and they would just dash past you causing the lock-on to turn off and combo you from the back

Thats one of the few redeeming moments of this otherwise shit game. 90% is nostalgic pandering, pontiff is one of the few sparks of originality found. Hard as fuck for shitters, even with summons, and easy for people who can parry. He's one of the best bosses in the series

Walk to his right

I don't have problems with him, it's his ghost thats the issue.

Usually can burst his ghost down before it starts becoming a problem. It has very little health.
