you dont even know what the word "weeb" means, faggot

your obsession with japan is cringe

My gf and I were saying how it rips off cityscapes from Tokyo japan pretty egregiously but it's kinda cozy with jap audio and english subs. Less mexicali sounding. You must not be that much of a weeb.

cdproject in general is cringe

it's like they desperately wanted japanese or weeb audience
the worst part is it's like two or three japanese neons copied everywhere, I swear there is HOテル 空室有る on every corner

Everytime I hear Japanese voice acting, it just reminds me that I could be playing a better Japanese game instead.

Huh, its almost as though Japan plays a pivotal role in the cyberpunk universe, which is what the game is based off of.

The average IQ on this board must be fucking abysmal

beggin ya to read a book

As if any more proof Zig Forums knows next to nothing about the cyberpunk genre was needed. Their "obsession" with Japan is a call back to how Blade Runner was filled with japanese memorabilia and city aesthetics because Syd Mead - the film's visual futurist - is an expert in demographics, and rightly predicted Asian birthrates would skyrocket. That is the only reason the future of 2019 in Blade Runner was portrayed as overwhelmingly Asian. And so is the future in Cyberpunk 2077. Imbeciles.

Gee, its almost as if the movie that inspired the cyberpunk movement was full of Japanese references

At least it's not Shadowrun where everything is Chinese instead

>obsession, weeb
Are you fucking retard?
Learn about the history of the genre, it literally came from American fear of the Japanese taking over

This and Neuromancer

Instead we got mexicans, oof.

redpill me on shazam meme
literally who and what?
i dont watch american movies

Uh, I payed for Sunpunk 2077, not Cuckrunner

user, what is the point of your post?

>Learn about the history of the genre
no fuck off
who cares
fuck off

I really have to wonder how far back Japanese aesthetics have been a part of the Cyberpunk universe, because this shit has been everpresent in literally every single Cyberpunk and Cyberpunk-adjacent franchise (going literally as far back as the Sprawl series).

Cyberpunk genre was made in the 80s when Japan had big economy boom and everyone thought it would be the biggest thing in the future and japanese corps owning everything. Then asian economic crisis happened and they've been stagnating ever since.

avatarfag who posted how shit cp77 would be with stunning accuracy before its release

>Japan plays a pivotal role in the cyberpunk universe

Japan's "role" in cyberpunk didn't start until well into the 90's when the genre had already been pretty well stablished by Neuromancer, Blade Runner and bande desinée comics like The Long Tomorrow. Japan came way too late into the cyberpunk party and most of their contributions were bad Blade Runner rip-offs like Ghost in the Sheel. The presence of so many japanese things in CP2077 has nothing to do with their cyberpunk work. See

This
Also this

It's a carryover from the 80s. Chinese culture should have been more pervasive if they wanted to be more realistic

cringe, obese faggot

i dont get it
and the siiiiiip?

Tbh they should have had more Cantonese stuff instead of weeb shit. That neon aesthetic is from Hong Kong.

He's talking about the country of Japan being present in the Cyberpunk universe, not Japanese works being influential. Neuromancer's explicit Japanese influences aren't based on anime or manga, they're based on technology and culture of Japan and Japanese youths. These elements influence future Cyberpunk fiction and thus are the reason they are so everpresent in Cyberpunk 2077, Blade Runner, etc.

nice projection, tranny
How long have you been taking HR?

I'm pretty sure he just meant Japan as a setting or windowdressing, not the actual country in the real world

it's expressing a coy "i told you so" attitude

This has already been debunked many times, newfaggot scum.
Endorsing a medium essay =/= proof
