my character was a sorcerers apprentice so i figured it made the most sense to go for magic.

Knight is pretty fun, fire sword is great and it allows you to fully deploy your mighty foot.

i used the fire staff on my sorcerer and it was fucking garbage

I haven't done melee builds, but stealth wasn't too fun imo
You absolutely have to find the single piece of stealth armor that's like 15-20% of the way in or else you won't find another until like 60% of the way in
Like magic you won't be doing great damage in forced combat, but unlike magic your utility is almost none. Abusing crit buildup makes bosses easy though
