TV develops an ugly black splotch right in the middle of the screen

>TV develops an ugly black splotch right in the middle of the screen
>video game kino is ruined
It's over. It's fucking over.

>LCD
lol, what did you expect

What about the other spot OP

>notice every little imperfection and video and audio
>friend never sees it, says it looks fine

Reminds me of my fucking PSP lol

Brand?

this lined up perfectly with a dirt spot on my screen in the catalog and looked like you invented 3D

It was way off in the corner so it didn't stand out. I actually forgot about it for over a year. This new one draws my eye to it every few seconds. It's fucking over, bro. I cannot adequately express how fucking over it is.

Not that one.
The other one.

When was the last time you purchased a TV or monitor, user?

Stores literally try selling TVs with sub-standard back lighting and contrast. Stores will claim a brightly shining neon group of pixels is normal, and you have to fight with managers and upper management to get a refund.

If your monitor still works, use it.

Other one?

down and left of the middle one

I got it just two years ago. It's a real shame because aside from this the picture quality is fantastic.

I have to ask: is the panel lottery a meme? Do people really send back their expensive, high-quality TVs a dozen fimes until they luck out and get one with zero splotches? The lower-leff one was there from the start and I was fine with it, but I didn't know the splotch was like a cancer and could spread.

oh no no no

granted, the center defect is the most detrimental

Oh, that's the one I meant. That one's fine. I have to go out of my way to make it visible and then go out of my way again to notice it. This middle one, though...

It's fucking over. Have I mentioned that?

Is Vizio bad? I am thinking of buying the Vizio 65" Class LED P series after I saw it at best buy. I had my old Vizio (1080p 60hz, for some reason it goes to 120hz) since I was in high school and it still runs great. I really want to upgrade though to a 4k 120Hz TV with G-sync or Free Sync ( I have a Nvidia card, but I heard some TV's with Free sync support Nvidia GPU's.)

>OLED

Do people seriously use TVs to game instead of a monitor? LMFAO!

It's not, though it is over...

Some people appreciate playing vidyakino on 4k HDR big screens with great contrast, colors, and minimal input lag. Not me, though, because it's fucking over...

>bought a Samsung Curved 4K screen brand new
>in 3 years it started getting purple blotches at the top near the frame
>not super noticeable unless screen was white
>blotches kept getting bigger
>they told me it was out of warranty (I figured) and a certified repairman would be like $300 to fix

Bruh I'll just buy a new TV with that cash and skip the curved meme. Not buying a Samsung TV again though.

>Thought I bought a good monitor
>Can no longer play any game with a hint of darkness
FUCK IPS

You'll never notice that shit until it's a pure white scene like that, who cares.

>this thread again
Deal with it

Some people are oblivious. Was watching a badly encoded anime with banding during dark/black scenes, and my roomate said he couldn't notice anything.

turn ur brightness down ffs

Then everything becomes too dark. Fucking hate that I bought this shit

OLED AND PLASMA ARE SO GOOD BROS

turn brightness down and calibrate your gamma.

>tfw bought ips it had nice colours but was shit and got pinched

>tfw bought a TN it's literally perfect but not great for contrast aka it wasn't great for games or movies

>tfw bought G7 Odyssey and now realise I was a peasant for years

>G7 Odyssey

>my budget laptop has had 8 years of continuous use, probably 25-30k active hours
>only recently a small blotch has appeared in the top corner of the screen, only visible with extreme brightness, otherwise still looks great

>my parents spent ~$3k on a 4k TV a few years ago
>only a few hours of use a day
>looks like shit
I don't know anything about screens but I don't get it.
