More focused stories even in the more MotW orientated series. Japan's slightly more lax rules arounds kids tv means characters can get beaten up and die (until they are brought back in the post-series sequel) so can plots can follow through on things/be edgy. More homoerotic

Blade is my favorite. Best suits, best story, best characters, best powerups and best music. I personally prefer the early Heisei "J-Drama"-esque series but I also like the more upbeat ones like W and Fourze. If you want something to start I recommend: Ryuki or W.

Yes but it's technically more "mature", in that Japanese kids TV regulations are less strict on certain things, just know that you can't ever compare Sentai or KR to Power Rangers though or people will throw a fit.

Half the time, especially in recent (post-W) series, the fights are a mess of CGI because they need to make whatever that episode's collectible of the week is look cool. I disagree regarding suits as well but Sentai/PR suits are pretty different from KR suits so that's largely just a matter of taste.

I think it is fair to say sentai was getting lazy for a while. KR gets weird sometimes, but stuff like ex-aid has an appeal with how crazy the suits are. While stuff like Lupinranger VS Patranger always looked porn parody levels to me.
