did you like it
Did you like it
Game of the year
Not really.
...
It's nothing special and I don't know why it's being hailed as anything more than a solid roguelike
agreed.
Hades and Dusa should be together. Fuck Nyx and her dumb fucking hierarchy. Also it's a pretty fun game, ignore falseflag tranny and retardera faggots complaining about le niggers it's just the artstyle choice.
Yes but how the fuck do you unlock the epilogue
Did I say Hades? I meant Zagreus loI.
I liked it up until I decided to go for the epilogue at which point the game fucking breaks itself trying to feed you dialogue. I had my first fishing rod line at like escape attempt 50.
Also holy shit there is practically NO content aside from dialogue. You've seen nearly everything once you finish the game once and seen the rest by the time you bring back the queen.
its a supergiant game, thats plenty special
By beating the game ten times
Yep.
solid 9/10 held back by some lame design choices and attitudes
yup
It's a perfectly solid and fun little game which makes it better than most mayor releases this year
Why is Hades such a dick but also kinda based at the same time?
yes I did, there's quite a bit of dialogue in the game, I don't think I have heard repeated lines yet and I am into the epilogue now
Maybe, at least is better than The Goyims Of Us and Cyberflop 2077
I did until I got to the second stage, died, and found out I have to repeat the first stage again. Fuck this game.
I think its a 7 outta 10. Im not a fan of roguelites and I probably enjoyed it more if it had real level design and was more like Bastion.
is this game really on sale 90% of the time?
Good so far.
Seems like it's kinda short on content and relies more on replaying the game. Pretty normal for roguelikes/lites but it gets annoying.
Kinda like Risk of Rain 2 where the visuals mesh often together and you can't tell what's going on. But it doesn't matter because you're supposed to die and try again and unlock items/skills :^)
I liked it, but having to do 10 successful runs for the ending while nothing changed hurts it a bit.
Go for good run and get max hesrts for everyone then. Focus entirely on keys and ambrosia.
probably goty. that or outer wilds.
Outer Wilds is great but it came out last year user.
>max hearts for everyone
Why the fuck would you suggest that to somebody that thought 10 runs was already bad enough? That's easily going to take dozens more, during which gameplay is going to remain nearly identical.
It didn't have much competition.
I really did, for a few hours at least. I escaped 3 times already and all it's left is just senseless grinding.
FPBP
no. the combat isn't very good. i didn't like the sign gimmick thing. the weapons didn't really feel good. sword was okayish. some upgrades seem to be really situational/require others to work. doesn't feel like there's enough variety to playstyles because of all these issues. the characters are butt ugly and it doesn't feel like there's enough content overall (both in terms of story but also variety in terms of gameplay)
>only 4 areas
lmao
I played it for around 80 hours. Build combinations started to feel pretty samey, even before beating the game. Lots of dialogue, nice voice acting. 7.5/10 for me, solid game.
What are some tips to get through the game? I’m enjoying it but can’t make it past the second world, and it doesn’t really seem like you can just grind and level up to make it easier.
The sword seems great but makes me lose so much health against the first boss.
Garbage
I just want to hold her by the snakes and just go to town.
Yes. Its a solid 7/10.
RoR2 is the real GOTY though
Collect as many keys as you can to unlock more mirror power ups. The mirror is everything.
Is this game popular?
Yes It was quite amazing to be honest. I had tons of fun with it. Only complain is it being too short since extra challenge doesn't really make it feel fresh to me
learning boss attacks is a huge step in getting good. you need to dodge through a lot of them. and you can swat some projectiles to nullify them, like megara's lasers/orbs/whatever it is
user you naughty boy.
This. It's between Hades, Sakuna, and Among Us.
delete this.
How does Sisyphus’s keepsake work? When it says “bonus damage for attack, special, and cast when not affected by a boon” does that just mean a boon can’t be in those corresponding spots?
Use the gun. That thing is stupidly broken
Fpbp.
I fucking enjoyed getting the ending.
Yes, when those slots do not have a boon, you get bonus damage.
But user don't you want Dusa to become Zagreus' onahole and cumrag?
Hammer is almost always > anything else but you're always guaranteed 2 every run. A replaced boon will always be 1 rarity higher than the one you replaced it with. Never go into Charons Shop with less than 100 gold, skellys keepsake will give you an extra death defiance. Adamant rail with cluster + rocket bomb upgrade is OP. Focus all of your material on trading with the voucher first for keys to unlock all the mirror first. Other than that a lot of it becomes pattern recognition with enemies and bosses.
I haven't played Transistor and Pyre so I can't play Hades yet
That's the stuff.
Bro, how many fucking roguelikes just give up entirely.
And if anything, it’s taking a piss on micro transactions gated by grinding. (3 diamonds for a new rug)
Don't max out her dialogue/hearts.
I agree with this. The game literally gives you 1 line of dialogue as the sole driver of the entire story. The combat is relatively basic and all the boons are just reskins of eachother.
The games aren't connected user. You dont need to play in release order.
>Fuck Nyx and her dumb fucking hierarchy
Nyx is bullying Dusa because she's rooting for her son in this Zagbowl competition. Nothing personnel, snek
Why Nyx herself isn't an option?
I reached Theseus on my first ever run and only did better on the next runs but the dialogue from the characters where as if I had died on the first area. Same happened when I beat Hades the first time, people didn't recognize I reached Greece until I beat it the second time.
