it's because of console babbies. Also, this game was never going to live up to the hype. I expected much less than I got so I am pleasantly surprised, but I'm sure a lot of retards thought this was going to be completely revolutionary and unparalleled. The game world itself is, but everything else is basically things that have been done before. Pretty basic driving/shooting/stealth/hacking, though it has never been combined into an open world RPG like this before. And so I am pleased with the result

the game was overhyped and now its overpanned. it's a decent game, better than a lot of AAA titles (low bar though) and if they iron out the bugs, performance issues and add some content it could be good. you have a lot of choices in how to fight but the enemy is ai is terrible. the city is large and beautiful but feels kind of empty. so it needs some more work, but it's not the dumpster fire that people make it out to be
considering how much they advertised it as a game to redefine genres and gaming as a whole, yes it is a dumpster fire (specially for failing at including basic AI behaviours seen even in ps1/ps2 open world games)

Reddit is not the Internet. The overwhelming majority of people playing Cyberpunk are laughing at the bugs and playing through the game normally.

However with No Man's Sky everyone saw it coming and Fallout 76 most people knew it was a bad idea. CP2077 had hype, a PC centric studio working on it and supposedly "anti pozzed" dev team so the dissapointment hurts even more. It's eerily similar to MGSV I'll give you that.

Mostly for journos, normal people had a meltdown yes, but even before the launch trailer people had the game on their hands early and started leaking the shit out of everything the game had.
