It is good to know Obsidian is doing God's work by removing the word "lame" from the digital world. After all, I for one can not play a game if it has bigoted language.
Obsidian removes instances of "lame" from Grounded

so?
this is actual and unironic white genocide
What even is that game? Judging by the last line it sounds like a shitter grind-game.
wow reading about this change of language fills me with a white-hot rage that is definitely not indicative of some emotional or mental issue on my part at all
retards
Is this game complete already?
survival base building in honey I shrunk the kids setting
Sounds pretty high functioning/on the spectrum/neurologically atypical to me.
‘Lame’ is the safest word fitting that definition that I can think of.
What kind of people are going around on forums of what I assume are obscure/semi-obscure children’s vidya and complaining about the political correctness of the word ‘lame’? I’ve been in a tizzy all damn day trying to manage my time (being here now is during a break on work), yet people got time for this shit?
Christ.
Sounds pretty gay
Is that sexist?
>survival base building
Who askes for these games? Base building is one thing. Survival is another. Combine the two and you have an exponentially shitty game.
Minecraft?
>That's so lame!"
What are other words that can be used besides "lame"? Write those words here!
Minecraft is so easy that "survival" isn't even relevant outside of the first 5 minutes.
At what point do we enter the self-made dystopia a la f451? If every insignificant word offends some random tranny on twitter, we might as well ban all books and uncensored media - they could offend someone! Maybe we could just fucking switch to newspeak.
>mfw this game is doubleplusgood
>twitchy movement
Such ableist speach! Do they want to destroy the lives of all the people with nerve conditions or something?
Do they think this is a joke? Or a game?
why
niggardly
There aren't any other. Lame was the least offense of any word referring to something being underwhelming. If lame is offensive then so is "stupid". Actually, stupid is about 10X harsher than lame. The sanitation of language never stops because certain people's potential to be offended is unending.
What exactly is the problem with the word? I’ve heard of a lame horse but I’ve never heard it used against a disabled person or anything
lame is pretty offensive to those who are physically afflicted so we sneed to re-instate the use of "bogus" instead
the use of lame referring to one's limbs feels really outdated anyway
Wokeness really is out of pure fucking boredom isn't it
>uhhh what can we virtue signal about today
>I dunno
>hey the word lame is kind of offensive don't you think
>not really but fuck it
>get to work and I'll put it out on twitter so we can start harvesting likes
Lame was used to describe cripples in the 1800s or some shit. Like if you were lame you couldn't be a farmhand (like a horse).
Its probablyjust some self important tranny retard to find a reason to not anhero and sent death threats to the 2 dudes at MS making the game.
The games industry pandering hard to insane people on twitter.
well thats pretty much the same as Grounded then. its too easy to get food and water in the game so it never really feels like a survival game.
the same thing that is wrong with the words "moron:, "idiot", "cretin", "imbecile", "retarded", "mongoloid". Every one of these words was designed to be a non-offensive word to describe someone with a mental handicap. But people with bleeding hearts get offended if you use it even for its intended purpose. There is a word for this phenomenon, where a word used to replace an offensive word as a non-offensive variant, itself become offensive in the same manner. Only, in this case it is a completely unoffensive word no one has a problem with. This is a children's game, and I am sure some 10 year old who has had their head filled with fuck America, fuck men, fuck masculinity, fuck white people, fuck everything nonsense is not terminally offended by anything always, and so even the most trivial word becomes "problematic". Essentially this is a stark warning that gen-Z is going to be 100X worse than the millenials.
>At what point do we enter the self-made dystopia a la f451?
Kind of feels like we already hit that point. Why didn't we listen to Ray Bradbury?
It doesn't matter what language you try to remove from people's heads. What's more important is intent. There will always be a new word to replace the ones you're not supposed to use.
Patch notes don't exist and it wouldn't be under bug fixes.
Their lives must be so good, they ran out of problems to worry about so the only choice was to create new ones.
