can someone explain to me why when you play objective on capture the intel, people get mad at you? like its the fucking objective, if yall wanted to just frag you should have gone onto a community server
Ctf maps literally are all about dm. If everyone played the objective seriously then the game would just crawl down to a stalemate with zero action. Pretty much has to do with how flawed ctf as a gamemode is (in almost any game, not just tf2).

CTF is just so slow and passive when played seriously compared to other gamemodes (5cp, koth). CTF always devolves into stacking engineers and turtling by your intel and waiting for the enemy to make a move/fuck up instead of going out to make those plays yourself. Even a time limit would just change nothing, other than booting people back to spawn once the timer hits 0.
Would be pretty nice. Imagine having a control point that opens after 30 seconds. Once it's capped, a bomb spawns, which either team can pick up and rush into the enemy base to win. Would keep the few great things that ctf does well (deathmatching) while speeding up the mode and rewarding the better team for winning the teamfight.

I find that ctf maps are just good for fucking around in tf2, it's a great way to get some practice in without worrying about the objective compared to other game modes.
The map is fairly static compared to the others. I guess that does make it flawed though.
