It's not a remake, it's a semi-sequel to AC. It'll tread a lot of the same ground, the same locations, similar story beats, but there will be differences that shake things up. Zack will end up being a party member, decent chance Aerith won't die etc. The end goal being to prevent to rewrite the future

I wonder how this is gonna happen since Cloud changing the events of Zack's last stand resulted in a third timeline being created, not changing the events of the FFVIIRe timeline we just played. I actually do want to see what would result from Zack still living and Cloud never becoming confused by his SOLDIER identity coping mechanism for Zack's death. I'd play that version of FFVII.

Theres more tension now. Sephiroth is stronger and scarier than before, you dont need to see him impaling a snake anymore. Now he just messes you up, defeats cloud without moving and makes you fell right into his trap.
