What exactly is wrong with cyberpunk

i've been trying to not look up much spoilers on the game or anything. i haven't yet bought it, but i keep hearing people talking about how disappointing it is. can anyone point me to a list of greivances or something? what exactly is wrong with it?

i guess it's garbage on console and has lots of shitty bugs and crashes and whatnot on every platform. some ppl say the mechanics are shallow as well. that's about it. seems good otherwise.

i'm starting to get the impression that the console versions are mainly what's shit, but that is not relevant for me

It runs like crap on consoles and PCs without the config fix. And it's not some alternate life sim people hyped themselves up to believe it was.
It's actually a decent game if you go into it not expecting much.

people thought they were getting GTA 2077 and are buttblasted because it's more like Witcher 2077

>It's actually a decent game if you go into it not expecting much.
yeah, that's pretty much me. never played a CDPR game before. so thanks user, i'm sure i'll probably enjoy it

Trannies hate it and are raiding the internet, highlighting bugs from last gen hardware and earlier builds, and overall trying to dissuade simple minded people from purchasing and/or enjoying it.

Aside from that, its one of the best single player games I have played in recent times. The last time I had this much fun was when I discovered KOTOR.

>Looks worse than GTA IV
>Runs at 30fps on lowest settings on a 1060
>All the dialogue is totally dull and cringe
>The story is nothing but saturation of worthless data
>All the characters behave like fucking degenerates
>Enemies are bullet sponges
>The game doesn't even explain how most shit works and can't equip most weapons and
I don't even know why
>AI is non existant
>The spanish dub is the most cringe dub I've seen
>Genital customization and you can't even see yourself naked in-game, so there's no point
>Excessive LGBT+-% Pandering
>Tons of other shitty glitches and bugs

Don't expect it to be the game they said it was. Minus every feature that they said they'd have and removed. The game is very generic overall.

CDPR will never have sex with you.

>Aside from that, its one of the best single player games I have played in recent times
Spotted the polack

It’s shallow mechanically, shoddy writing, Ubisoft open world at best, etc. pc can’t save you

It's just so underwhelming, mediocre and bland. Then there are all the bugs and glitches on top of that which doesn't help it's case.

game itself is mediocre, writing's ok, but it runs kinda shitty and with bugs

imagine unironically calling yourself a gamer

the game is broken as hell and lacks really basic stuff that everyone takes for granted

and CDPR already spoiled you a ton of shit if you watched their videos

the console versions look significantly worse and have terrible performance, the hype machine made the game too big for its britches, and it feels like they probably restarted it like 3 times over its development cycle and it still came out half baked even though it was being made for like 8 years. after it's fixed, it probably won't be a bad game, but this game was GTA/RDR levels of hype because of the Witcher 3 and the fact that everyones waking cyberpunk themed shit these days hardcore.

All the people who like the game are playing it. They're not here. The people here are those who don't like it, so obviously the opinions are skewed.

Also this
>it's not some alternate life sim people hyped themselves up to believe

The people enjoying it most are those who probably didn't spend the last 3 or 4 years of their life following this game and thinking it'll be the best experience of their lives

So glad that Drumpftards have been shown that their pet game is a transphobic pile of garbage, much like themselves.
Cyberpunk SUCKS.
BLACK LIVES MATTER!

you haven't played it lol

>the game is trani propaganda
>the game is trani phobic
so which one is it ?

You cannot customize your character after the initial creator, you can't change your hair, makeup, fingernails, skin tone. You can't buy chrome arms and legs, you can't get cyber tattoos (or any tattoos), you can't change your physique, you can't become a cyborg, you can't replace your eyes with a sensor array, you can't chrome your skin.

There are no car dealers, you can't customize your car, you can't buy half of the variations of vehicle in the game, stealing them is the only way to drive them.

Clothing customization and character styling is super badly designed.

NPC AI within the city is absolutely terrible, no interaction, no life, no random encounters.

NPC Driving AI is terrible, there are no motorbikes in traffic at all, and they have 1 reaction. Cops never chase you in vehicles. AI for driving is obviously terrible as any mission where the AI drives is all faked, they aren't actually driving the car is just on a rail following a path. Its like being in a green screen studio

Enemy AI is super basic. They have no team tactics, they have no care for life. They often will stand out in the open and let you slowly whittle away at their health without ever trying to find cover. They will rush you even though your far more powerful than they are. They never flee. They never flank, they never work together.

For some reason you can't see yourself in reflective surfaces. I got into an elevator with one wall was a mirror, the interior was all nicely reflected but I was a ghost. The mirrors you can use are fixed to this stupid lean forward pose, where your character has their head pointing downwards instead of actually looking at the mirror.

It's one of the buggiest games I've played in a long time. The amount of disappointment in lacking and shallow features continually breaks my immersion and makes the game a lot less than it should be.
I was expecting serious GTA like game with heavy RPG elements, instead we got Borderlands in a Cyberpunk setting.

Picture an expanded Ubisoft game, with some tacked on RPG mechanics, and a six-to-ten hour Quantic Dream storyline stapled on top. It's short, it's shallow, there is fuck all of significance to do or see outside the main storyline, and said main storyline is the strongest part of it - and even then only if you enjoy "Yes, Sarcastic Yes, and maybe a Reluctant Yes" speech options amidst an endless stream of fucking info dump/monologues.

>what exactly is wrong with it?
Even is you make a male character, the game makes it so that your character is a tranny, so when you look into the mirror you see the vagina your character wants and not the penis you chose..

Attached: 1607958036909m.jpg (741x1024, 82K)

It's the top one. Definitely the top one. There's literally transpride flags on random cars lol

Extremely broken on base consoles.
Buggy for some people
For me, the biggest issue though is the dogshit AI. It really takes you out of the immersion when police just spawn wherever and don't chase you in cars, and seeing civilians just crouch when you're in combat

If anything the console issues are shielding the game from other much more damning criticisms. Bugs can be fixed and performance can be worked on; but the game itself needs to be reworked from the ground up to be anything but a pretty but forgettable one-and-done experience.

On pc it's OK I havent had a crash
>people thought they were getting GTA 2077 and are buttblasted because it's more like Witcher 2077
I like it desu and I don't even like the witcher
Makes sense tho same devs same engine

Unironically both

It's great bro, pay full price for it. Make sure to avoid spoilers. You'll have lots of fun.

The Autistic corporate shill terrorist redditor fan base alone makes it shit. The bugs are the cherry on the top

the game was designed for stadia and pc first, it runs like ass on other systems

>Runs at 30fps on lowest settings on a 1060
Yes because your pc is shit
You probably have a ancient i5 quad core from 2009
2080ti here 3440x1440p auto dlss I get 30fps plus maxxed out psycho rt

kek

Lots of complex mechanics that are either unusable when you really need them or just useless at all.
Horrible UI/UX, some menus require mouse on PC for proper navigation, no way to shortcut any of the complex mechanics, no option between toggle or hold for anything.
Placebo quality difference between Low and Medium graphics with noticeable FPS difference (and I guess this also applies for higher settings on better specs).
Too much chit-chat and too litle actual story throughout - it seems they cut the story lines short or skipped most of them altogether, but left a lot of filler lines untouched, making it impossible to get a context for anything without having to read through 3 alternate optional dialogues.
Combat manages to be monotonous and repetitive at the same time as confusing and rushed (tagged enemies don't distinguish between hidden and exposed parts, for example)
The "living city" just flips you out everytime you speak to non-quest NPCs, there's no interaction otherwise. Also every single citizen reacts the same, with the same animation and even IN SYNC when in fear...
And that's just to name a few.

>The people enjoying it most are those who probably didn't spend the last 3 or 4 years of their life following this game and thinking it'll be the best experience of their lives
Nope, didn't care until release, and I'm still massively underwhelmed. Nice cope though.

I don't see many bugs myself (PC here), and it's pretty, but city is lifeless ala GTA 3 circa 2000, and combat AI offers little challenge. It gets easy quickly. "Roleplaying"/story options are much more limited than I was lead to believe. Perk points/builds are extensive though.. they just need to fix the combat difficulty.

God I'm so sick of seeing nothing but this fucking game in the catalog.

They fucking gave journalists seizures over this piece of shit game lol. Sunken costs up the ass. They got shill money to burn.

You will enjoy this if you have never ever played an RPG in your life.

HAHAHAHA
fucking stop, your killing me

for me, the action isn't fun enough. it's mostly a loot shooter when you get down to it and enemy AI is terrible.
The open world is amazing to look at though, but don't try interact too much. It reacts worse than a 2000 game.

Thought only Claire's car had it, what other cars have a trans flag? I mean at least Claire has a reason to have one, he's literally a MtF trans. Amusingly enough he's also a horrible hypocritical human being.

The ai looks absolutely trash

immersion!

Boring as fuck. The first three hours of cutscenes is pretty bad

idk how the fuck you managed to bring trump into this but you did.

Apart from running like shit, and running like even worse shit on consoles, here’s a few things that come to mind:

It’s not really an RPG. It has levelling and perks but you are mostly locked into a specific story and outcomes regardless of your choices and lifepath. Gameplay is nothing revolutionary, just an accretion of mechanics from other games like Deus Ex, Grand Theft Auto, etc. Combat is decent when the game’s not shitting itself but the enemy AI is the worst I’ve seen in years. They either permanently hug cover, run straight at you to be shot/sliced/blown up, or glitch out and stare at a wall. That’s assuming the bugs don’t have them sink into the floor or vanish into the ceiling/skybox. The writing has a similar compelling human aspect to it like Witcher 3, even though you have very few meaningful choices to make you’ll most likely be gripped by at least a couple of the characters and their stories. The open world is worthless, just an exercise in commuting. There are barely any structures with interiors, and even the ones that have them often lock areas off unless you’re doing a specific quest - which means you can’t explore all the floors in a building with lifts, for example. Worse, if you were expecting any kind of interactive immersion from things in the environment like arcade machines, gambling, even vendors in a marketplace, you’re shit out of luck. In terms of worldbuilding, themes, symbolism, etc it’s like a witless version of Deus Ex. If you enjoyed the aspect of the last two DE games where you could piece together entire stories from email chains scattered across the game, don’t expect any writing on that level here. Don’t expect anywhere near those game’s levels of environmental storytelling either. At best you’ll get infodumps on what happened between the tabletop game and now. Driving is atrocious. I have no idea how any of this got past playtesting.

config fix?

I'm having fun with it but it still runs kind of bad, though better with the last patch. I'm torn because I want to keep playing but also I'd probably enjoy it more if I waited a month or two for the performance patches

>hur dur I have to adjust the settings on game meant to be graphically intensive
Welcome to pc gaming? Get a good rig if you just want to kick everything to ultra/high. Dumb faggot. Its fine on pc, op.

>environmental storytelling
Why even Bethesda is better too.

I'm playing it on a 980 with medium settings and I get framerates above 30. I'm a little confused about crafting, like how do I get blue prints and stuff? Why are materials hard to find? I'm enjoying the game, but they should've explained some of the mechanics better. Also, you reach a point where the world opens up and all of the sudden the enemies one-two shot you when they seemed like normal difficulty enemies. I'm having fun though. I like to explore and dig around locations like it's fallout.

>30fps on a 2080ti
Anything lower than 120fps on a FPS game feels like a PowerPoint slideshow

reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/comments/kccabx/hey_cd_projekt_red_i_think_you_shipped_the_wrong/

Basically, the game won't use more than 1.5 GB of RAM and 3GB of VRAM unless you tell it to via editing this config file.

>how do I get blue prints and stuff?
I find all of mine by either rng looting or buying them off of people.

not enough love interests

Hes either talking about adjusting graphics settings, the driver that takes about 4 seconds to install or the patch from yesterday. Shhh...i dont think he owns a pc.

This. Pretty depressing seeing only complaints about bugs and watching all the shills screech about much hardware. The game is fundamentally flawed and no amount of patching will fix it

Dumb faggot

Should I just loot everything or there's a point in being selective with what you loot?

If you really want to buy it. Make sure that you have a decent graphic card to run it otherwise you will not be able to play it at 1080p60fps. now for 1440p60fps You'll probably need a gtx 2000s or 3000 series to play. For me, FPS at 30fps is awful but for some reason third person shooters I don't notice as much

>linking to reddit
Lol this board is just a lost cause.

see

Nigga I ain't copy/pasting or screenshotting all that shit.

Started playing today...
>driving feels like complete shit and driving first person is basically impossible
>selecting dialogue options with m+kb is obnoxious and there's no way to fix it
>no way to remap the retarded buttons for the inventory and for general selection
>crouching feels clunky (as stupid as it might sound, yes they even fucked up the crouching) and sometimes it doesn't even work
>character menu / inventory screen is a huge jumbly mess
>encountered a bunch of bugs like: floating sitting guy, subtitles disappearing, gun not making noise when shooting, character lips not moving when speaking, a load of npcs walking around with blurry faces

Should i even try playing this? Maybe i can fix those retarded action/inventory buttons but i can't do anything about the rest.
Maybe i should just drop it for now and wait for the complete edition (aka the finished version of this game, instead of this shitty pre-alpha)

Attached: 20201212_044531.jpg (115x100, 9.9K)

Yeah sometimes I go to pick up an item and it says "crafting spec available". Do I get that automatically by picking it up or do I have to break it down. I have the perk that breaks junk down into components and I'll break weapons down, but it doesn't seem to tell you what components do. Also, based on the difficulty increase I can tell that journalists didn't really look into the depth of exploration or side missions. There's a lot to find.

You can become over encumbered, but any weapons above rare I just break down for parts and sell off the rest. Weapons or gear that are Iconic I keep around in storage.

Honestly i'm not too sure how you should do it, I try to be selective but most of the time I can be bothered to look at every speck of trash.

"Works fine for me. Just get better hardware and it's not supposed to be GTA"

Its going to need another 6 years

>The internet is a hydra.

the cope.

It's got the tabletop's setting pretty close but it's missing all the mechanics that made the pen and paper game fun (namely the lifepath system and how combat works in 2020).

absolutely nothing, it has some gay bugs to laugh at but nothing gamebreaking, its just as soulful as VTMB with less bugs.
