tfw I keep killing myself with electricity
had an instakill with luminous drill and was so close to beating it, owl came out of nowhere, teleported me into a pool of water that was electrified, dead.
this game is so good though man.
So is it random whether you fight a boss when picking up each orb? In particular the orb to the right of the mines? First time I grabbed it I got assraped by a boss that polymorphed me.
How I lost my first epic run. I'm never taking Levitation Trail again, ESPECIALLY not if I have Homing Shots.
What 40mb update you dickheads were talking about in a previous thread? I just opened it up now and it's only a tiny 2mb one
I finally beat the game after 75 hours. Somehow beat the boss with glowing lance and gravity field.
I think its a hitbox trigger surrounding the orbs.
This was nightmare mode
I died shortly after this
>those wands
>at the boss
>with those perks (one of which is tinker with wands everywhere)
>at 75 hours
m8 did you go out of your way to not learn how to build wands
no wonder it took you 75 hours if you're building wants like that. Are you just picking them up and not changing them?
I have killed myself in the dumbest possible ways every time I get a good wand built. I just played super careful this time and avoided most enemies in the jungle and temple.
I would probably try to beat nightmare mode if it wasn't rng dependent on whether or not the game skips from coal pits straight to hiisi base
I dont understand how to build wands. I keep relying on a "melee" wand or an electricity spell just to get to late game. What stats should I be on the look for? I tend to pick up better wands as I progress and switch through them when I can, but it still doesn't work out for me
I can never beat the god damn final area. Its like no matter how overpowered I think I am, the game just shows it up.
It's pretty brutal; the mortar hiisi chunk for something like 60 damage. Is the layout RNG-dependant for the main dive? I've only ever had coal pits --> snowy depths --> hiisi --> jungle/vaults --> temple of the art since 1.0 release. I think the side areas may have RNG in them but I'm not sure.
non-shuffle wands with good mana pool/recharge stats, and good modifiers such as damage plus, crit, homing, turn towards enemies, electricity (if immune), frost (only one of these). Look up how modifiers work with double/scatter spell then think about how you can modify wands to run faster or more efficient with add mana modifiers, recharge modifiers, or clever use of chainsaws
Generally avoid melee wands as a primary method for engagement; use them for digging and don't dig into propane tanks, and as a sort of last-resort if an enemy closes a gap or a sneaky way to kill through walls with luminous drill.
I did it guys. I finished my 33 orb run. Feels so fucking good. The whole run took 21 hours in game (mostly due a lack of knowledge on orb locations and a slow digging wand at the start), but god damn did I have a blast. I ended up never getting either electricity immunity or breathless, but I was able to manage (those corrupted lake orbs were definitely fun to get). Learning and mastering this game has honestly been one of the experiences I've had in videogames.
Thanks to all the other noitas out there who helped me learn this game. To anyone still struggling, keep at it. Everything you learn will help you succeed eventually.
Learn how to use chainsaws. Rest of wand building is kinda weird see what works stuff.
Trigger spells work very well with certain other spells that are usually shit.
I've been trying to do a no $ run for a few days now but always either walk over a mystery pixel of gold or get a gold drop launched into me by an explosion.
I'm getting better at winning without buying anything though.
Magic Missile is a top tier starting bomb wand spell. I already knew that, it's just even more apparent now
>Get to hiisi base with all seeing eye and a powerful want that can shoot through walls
Die to electricity
>Next run get electricity perk despite being aware how dangerous it is
Die to hidden explosive container in a pool of blood
The eternal cycle
gz. Id have died to a gas canister.
post wand
He said he didn't have electric immunity so...
His wand is going to be a trigger bolt into a boat load of damage mods on a chainsaw.
What's the best way to cross over into parallel worlds if you happened to have only 110 hp?
I haven't tried since 1.0 but yeah you would get dumped into hiisi straight out of pits pretty often and it blew hard
Sure thing. this was my wand by the end of the main world, I tweaked it later on with gammas replacing the random x3s and got a regular damage up in there ( I couldn't find one for the life of me). It's not pretty, but it worked incredibly well and with minimal lag, especially with the gammas.
I actually don't like using chainsaw based guns in the super lategame due to the insane blood it generates. can be really dangerous with enemies that bleed lava or the teleport mages. I used concentrated light in my build because oddly enough it doesn't leave a corpse and also doesn't cause enemies to bleed, making it super helpful for killing those tricky enemies (especially in hell).
find some ambrosia and make a waterslide with it down a black hole shoot. just run with the ambrosia and you should be okay.
Way 1
Make a Black Hole travel fast enough that it leaves divots instead of a smooth path.
Put Ambrosia in a divot and stand in it.
Teleport (Do not press the directional keys) to the end of your Black Hole tunnel, put Ambrosia in the new Divot, shoot a new Black Hole.
Way 2
Get Freeze Field or Lava to Blood and go through the Lava Lake above Hell.
The cursed rock aura doesn't span the lava.
WHERES THE PORN I WANNA COOM
It's so beautiful
the propane tank giveth...
Shooting eye beam perk is useless right?
...and taketh away
>Crashing this plane with no survivors
Can it be crafted?
Is there a limited amount that spawns?
What if you happened to accidentally break the only flask you came across?
I had no idea they give a free perk and wands at the beginning now, looks much more doable now
Ambrosia is a completely random spawn
Don't be an idiot and throw your flask
If you do though, you can just bottle most of it back up in a different flask
>find a chaotic polymorph potion
>get to cursed rock border
>polymorph until you become worm and dig through to the other side
abrosia can be found fairly easily in areas with high flask spawns like in the mines and also the fungal caverns. If you are truly desperate you can almost always find some in the Ancient Laboratory, but with only 100 hp good luck getting through there alive. If you go there you'll need to grab a flask beforehand to collect it.
im really new, do you usually explore the entire zone before dropping into the next one? is there a recommended pathing? (ive explored the surface like an hour into my game once i realized the worm egg and polymorph flask, so it seems llike theres more than straight down
i still haven't even picked it up yet. might be decent with invisibility.
