For me, starting playing Yakuza 7 for the first time. Really great game, unironically feels like an Earthbound for boomers. FFXVI looks really good. Glad they are seeming to fix the mess they made after the previous FF.

Granblue Fantasy Relive looks like fun. Although read an user said they're going to gacha it. If so, that'd suck. Neo TWEWY and FFXVI of course. If I'm enjoying Ryza 1, I'd probably be looking forward to 2 as well.

Typically when someone says "JRPG" the formula is compared to DQ or old FF for gameplay. Heavy focus on over the top stories, grand adventure over an entire large map where you gather party members to fight some sort of big bad, focus on leveling up and equipment though the side systems tend to be on the less complex side so debuffs and DoT stuff isn't focused on as much. Lots of things are typically fantastical or out of this world.
Tales of games also became a main basis for other games as well and would be considered as a lead-in series to consider a JRPG because it follow the vast majority of the same cliches and tropes but in an action setting.
Yes, I know you're probably joking because Pokken, Witcher 3, Shantae, and DDR on top of several other joke choices are on the JRPG side.

Playing through Ni No Kuni 2 right now and story feels a bit lackluster compared to the first.
