Heroes like these made it mandatory for police to wear bodycams. Heroes like these are the reason that female cop was thrown in prison for breaking in that man's house and shooting him. Without heroes like these, police would be doing drive bys and no one would say a thing.

He's not making a good point. You can't change an inherently violent and corrupt organization by "setting an example". There are plenty cops who have tried to set an example. You know what happens? They get fired. Like I said, trying to set an example for the police is like trying to set an example for the Klan. One or two or a few hundred people aren't going to change centuries worth of corruption.

I'm a civilian. I never took an oath to protect and serve. I never took an oath to uphold the law. They did. I don't have to be any better than a dirty cop. I respect criminals more than police because at least criminals are honest about what they do.

Replace them with better ones. High IQ people without a history of violence, ones that are mentally fit to be police. Police that actually have to walk the streets and interact with the communities they patrol rather than ride around in cars, seeing people as the enemy. Put an emphasis on de-escalation training. Actual punishments for police when they commit crimes.

It makes no sense that a cop can have a history of violence, domestic or otherwise, near retarded room temp IQ, be obviously mentally unstable, and be a huge fucking bully and they still get hired. Then when they inevitably get caught abusing their power, they just get moved to another PD like a catholic priest.

A system that openly says that you can be too smart to be a police officer is a system that needs to be torn down. A group that has a fucking No Snitching policy (Blue Wall of Silence) is a fucking gang. No other organization but a criminal one would feel the need to have a no snitching rule.
