The daily pushup thread

good morning fellow anons and to those larping as femanons!

we're gonna get an early start to our pushups today, fuck the soreness if youve been joining us previously. we're gonna power through that shit together today.

today, im adding a few extra instructions.
start off by
1. brushing your teeth if you just ate
2. sip a glass of water (maybe thats why youre so sore from yesterday. maybe youll have more energy if youre joining for the first time today. stay hydrated)
3. if you have a pet, play with them for a few minutes before you begin.

lets get started. remember, pick a number of pushups to do, and stick with it. im moving from 20 to 23 pushups per set today. i hope to see you guys making similar progress soon.

drop and give me those pushups user! do a few sets. space them out

Firm handshake boomer dad already got my arm sore from all the handjobs I've been giving.

I do around 500 push ups a day in sets of 50

fuk off you can't tell me what to do, push-ups are a stupid exercise

based. this thread is generally for introducing people to pushups to have fun while improving their confidence and self-discipline.

sounds like you need more self-discipline user. the pushups arent for me, theyre for you. how else are you gonna obtain ideal gf?

with my beautiful face and intoxicating aroma, you square. i don't need to hump the ground to get my qt gf

but do you have ideal gf currently?

no, but i know for a fact push-ups aren't gonna speed that process along.

and youre not gonna give it a try? cant hurt to improve your looks, self esteem, self discipline, and make you more tired by the end of the day. unless you already work out of course.

i'm in a perpetual state of soreness already desu

Is it true that only doing a few types of exercises will make me more disproportionately shaped?

>start working out at home
>nothing major, but still doing well
>get COVID-19
>back to square one again
It's shit because I was up to 45 push-ups in a row beforehand.

maybe the physical soreness can offset the mental soreness user
if you really notice anything disproportional, you can start either doing squats with your pushups or going on runs. one is obviously easier than the other, but dont worry about it if youre just starting. see img
joining the rest of us in our journey to improve our pushups and ourselves may help if you need any extra motivation. atleast youre doing the pushups, thats half the battle

I lost all motivation after being sick. I did do some basic shit to see how my body would react and after doing 10 squats my legs were fucked for 3 days. I'm going to start getting back into it again though, I have to.

>maybe the physical soreness can offset the mental soreness user
i'm talking about physical soreness. just daily functioning wears me down, push-ups would exacerbate it.

I had that when I spent 5 years working lifting 45 lb (20.41 kg) boxes 8 hours a day. After a while my body was in a perpetual state of tired. Not exactly soreness, but just worn down.

why not start today? yknow soreness is just your muscles rebuilding themselves stronger. youre allowed to take long breaks. dont be hard on yourself if you can only do a few, youll be back up to your normal numbers in no time
sorry to hear that user. if youre already sore from doing physical work, or have some medical condition, then dont stress about not being able to join us. i respect the grind from daily functioning while still being sore, youre already mentally stronger than most of us for that, and i hope you realize that.

I'm starting tomorrow since I'll have a lot of time to myself throughout the day.

Started doing daily pushups along with nofap 2 weeks ago. Started at 3 sets of 15, now doing 25 already. But now I have the problem that my arms start shaking at a certain point and I can't physically push myself up anymore, it feels very different from just tired muscles. Could this be because I'm doing bicep curls inbetween sets?

sounds good. ill do my daily post early for you tomorrow
its definitely the bicep curls, but dont worry. that shakiness is the best for muscle development, atleast according to gym rumors ive heard. its actually really good that youre pushing yourself to that point, proud of you. obviously if it hurts more than a little soreness then take a break. if you physically cannot finish a set, then take a break and sip some water

Thanks, I figured it had to do with the muscle antagonism making my muscles spasm or something.

no problem. reaching shakiness plus eating protein is key to gains. plus the protein helps rebiuild the muscles a little faster so you can work out more.

id suggest adding protein to your diet if you arent already. chicken, eggs (scrambled is best if you dont like eating the whole fried egg), nuts, beans, even cheese if youre not worried about losing weight. if youre really interested, try a workout powder drink mix., although personally i dont like the tastes of em.

>Can barely do 26 push ups.
Am I going to make it, bros?

what a great fucking thread. just started doing pushups again after 3 months of relative sloth due to covid. doing some now thanks to this thread

You'll make it, just keep doing them. Add in some shoulder & tricep work to improve faster.

i couldnt do one before, ive gotten to 45 max but took a long break. currently doing 23 per set, so youre better than me. consistency is key if you wanna start improving with us.
i appreciate it user, thanks for the feedback. that gave me the motivation to do another set, yall better join me on this one.

Fucking how?! My max is 23 in a set and that was full effort

If I work in triceps push ups, or whatever pic related is called, would that help with my normal push ups?
Also what are some recommended shoulder training?

not op (500 is a lot goddamn) but consistency is key. join us daily and youll improve to that level before you even know it

I am all up for it, however it is midnight with me. But I will in the morning.
I started nofap soon, day 3 since I failed, but I really want to get better, Anons!

posting early tomorrow for you and another user. glad to see you join us

I think nofap and excercise are a really good combo. Whenever you feel urges you can use that energy for something useful.
