Whatcha reading yo?

No ones reads books in public. It's an open invitation to starting a conversation

I read books in public because I do not own a car and must use the bus.

I read at the bus stop not because I want people to talk to me, but because I have to sit there bored and I might as well read a good book while I am there.

do chad autists really not realize how entitled they are? people literally want to talk to you and help you practice your socialization skills and you push them away.
what the fuck retard

If you get so mad over an earnest friendly comment to engage in conversation because they want to have a nice experience then you are truly autistic and you need to just lock yourself away forever you depressed sperg

Had shit like this constantly in college before I dropped out. I dunno maybe we're just approachable people user.

I AM OBVIOUSLY MID-PAGE

WHY THE FUCK CAN THESE CUNTS NOT WAIT UNTIL I LOOK UP OR CLOSE THE BOOK??? WHY INTERRUPT WHEN I AM OBVIOUSLY READING

I like when that happens, unfortunately what I read is usually so autistic that I get embarrassed to say it and end up botching the explanation and it never turns into an interesting conversation.
And no, it's not futa rape incest manga autistic, but more of folk tales from Celtic/Nordic circles or Japan, etc.

>reading in public
toplel

Tell them that youre reading mein kampf.

What happens when they noticed the title on the cover isnt the same as what you said?

Lad youre obviously a turbo angry sperg you would choose to get mad at any normal human experience. Go ask your mommy to lock you away in an asylum youd be happier :)

I bet you piss your pants and got into an autistic rant about whats your favourite samsung HD TV and why you prefer OLED over LCD as well as your favourite pixel specifications because oh yeah youre an annoying idiot

How difficult is it to say Oh, it is a book of Nordic folk tales, thanks for asking

Yeah, it's not easy, but my brain fucks me over when it happens. For some reason I get this need to justify why the fuck am I reading it, and things go downhill from there.

Translation

>I am autistic so I have to go into autistic rants and overindulging when anyone asks me literally any question

Do you think a woodcarver would be more open to you asking him about what he is doing if you waited for him to look up from his tools or if you shook his shoulder while he was in the middle of carving?

Ah yeah because some autistic sperg reading a page of a book leisurely whilst killing time is the same as interrupting someone whos actually seen a day of work

nice effort lad. You just have sensory problems and you get mad when people disturb you. How about wearing a tshirt that says 'DO NOT DISTURB I HAVE AUTISM' or wearing those classic ear muffs to show people that noises disturb you. That'd work. Nobody would disturb a person with earmuffs on

Have you read the Casebook of Inspector Hanshichi?

I do not have to indulge a persons curiosity just because you think it necessary

Not really. I don't have a problem with most things, be it music, shows, movies, etc, nor about my daily life or anything. It's just with some very specific topics.

You dont have to. You dont even have to reply. Its your autism that makes you turn it into a big deal

You could literally ignore them, or shrug at them, or just say 'a book' and theyll get the picture you dont want to talk to them. Youre only angry because you cant interact with people and it gets you all flustered

Literally just say 'just a book' and continue reading, theyll get the picture you dont want to talk

I did not, I haven't read that much about Japan yet, so far only more general books like Tales of Old Japan from Mitford, and Japanese Tales, from Royall Tyler, and a few other regarding samurais during Edo. But I will add it to my list, thanks user.

How odd, you go for the more esoteric choices than the entry choices. What brought you to pre-modern Japanese lit?

I once was reading a large copy of the complete stories of Sherlock Holmes on an airplane and the old lady sitting next to me grabbed my arm and said she was so glad to see a young man reading the Bible in this day and age.

People dont care what you are actually reading, they just hope you are reading what they want.

Do books exist in a post-9/11 world?

Not really??? Why did you think that was the case??

just say "mein kampf" and they'll leave you alone

But then you are a racist

say the necronomicon then if you don't want to be racist
