Elizabeth helped me a lot when she still posted so I assume it might help if you find a competent person.

oi I literally look like the male version of this girl.

If you have problems therapy can help sure.

Maybe, but I'd imagine online is different from seeing someone irl.

>mfw I will never lick Elizabeth Debicki's long perfect legs

Her stupid, retarded threads made me feel sexually obsessed with Elizabeth Debicki for a while.

It's tech bro wannabes trying to cash in on the startup bullshit.
Step 1: Contract some basement dweller to code a standard chat app.
Step 2: Staff cubicle farms (or remote work) normies to chat with people. Aka give "therapy" sessions. Boom call it "online therapy".
So many of these services use dodgy language to avoid medical regulations and what not. In case they get in some legal hot water they can be like "lol we're just a simple online chat platform". Replace step 2 with "dating" site, "social media" platform, "mongolian basket weaving enthusiasts" community, "tinder but for loikeets", etc.

PS debicki makes me want to get on my knees and worship her cock why does she look so fememasculine.

>when she still posted
she posted a couple threads a few weeks back but there were hardly any replies

For real? I would have thought her threads would have gotten tons of replies anyways..
I know some people posted fake threads of hers too.

You can't be serious. Even normal therapist are fucking scammers.

I have neither been to either.

felt like her, I don't have any real questions but I hung out in the threads because they were comfy and she's cool to talk to

You can find better therapy on a bus than from a therapist, especially an online therapist.

Yeah, why bother trying to improve? He should be like you, and just be miserable all the time posting on Zig Forums

Not them, but it's easy to fake her style. I did that recently to get attention, lol. It worked out for me too.
Why are therapists hated on here again?

>Why are therapists hated on here again?
because improving takes effort and facing unpleasant truths about yourself

>Why are therapists hated on here again?
Probably because they gave solutions and rational reasoning behind problems people have.
I talked to a couple so called therapists on here and they usually start ignoring me before I can make a decision on how I feel, but I am not paying them so... makes sense.

I think most people on here can accurately identify their actual problems if they reason it out, but don't want to because they can't figure out how to make and positive change given their circumstances and lack of effective outside support.

In other words; it's too based, right?

"It's going to be alright" isn't going to fucking help to a person with chronical depression.
They don't even study medicine, no idea what's wrong with you, how the fuck they are going to help you?
Same thing as chiropractors or snake oil salesman.

What exactly do you think a therapist does? Its just a conversation, there is no work and they cant help your situation. For example with incels, a therapist could say to be confident, but that wont make the patients more confident.

>facing unpleasant truths
This tends to trigger extreme reactions. Probably related to the layers cope built up.

Also, a bit of this
Sometimes therapy and medicine is too focused on current treatment methods rather then figuring out a realistic solution. My extreme depression isn't even phased by any suggested method, ffs I realized I was depressed at the highest point in my life.
It can be frustrating to have your symptoms treated when the core problem remains unchanged.

>Its just a conversation
Good therapists will steer the converstation towards unpleasant topics that are important but you are reluctant to talk or even think about. People are very good at lying to themselves and avoiding doing unpleasant tasks, especially when they're mentally ill.

so do you it would be a good idea to sign up for it for someone like me, who has no social skills and literally cannot have a conversation IRL?
I also don't even see people anymore, and am never in a situation of meeting them, so it hardly matters anymore

therapy works if your problems are women tier problems
like "omg my bf dumped me :( "

I mean you could try it. Just know what you're getting into. If you feel like it isn't for you or maybe the person you're talking to sucks then no big deal. It's just chat apps. You're talking to someone hired to chat with people as "therapy".

this, or a normalfag with normie problems.

You're much better off seeing a therapist than a doctor if you are depressed. Right now the medical science just isn't there. They don't know what mental illness is, right now it's just behavioral trends. They know that a few chemicals seem to work on a few people for some reason.
Until that changes, therapy is more art than science. A good therapist knows a whole bunch of practices, has experienced a ton of different clients, is heuristically intelligent, and is good at tailoring treatments to the client (even then it may not just be the right person for you). But because that can't really be taught you'll have to shop around for a good one. And you have to want to get better, or there's really not much they can do for you. It's not like medicine. It's more like a trainer.

There's a paradox at play here. Imagine you are a therapist, and are looking for the maximum $/h. If you were a good therapist, you'd just fill your schedule with live sessions, because they pay much better. If you're a bad therapist that cannot attract and maintain clientele, you turn to third party sites like betterhelp, for a worse pay but at least some income

Betterhelp is the indian call centre of therapy

There's no harm in trying it out. It might not help. But therapy is a job with a wild range of talent. If it's not helpful I say look for a different therapist until you find a good one.

just dont let it colour your opinion of actual therapy. You'd literally be better off talking to one of those AIs that pretends to be a human.
