No, this place is a shithole but it's a shithole because it allows pretty much anything so it's a foregone conclusion that it would be terrible, r*ddit has moderation so the shit on there is inexcusable.

Also many subs don't allow new accounts to post there and will remove your threads/comments

I'd probably be easier to list the ones I like, because reddit is garbage and even the subreddits I do like still have to contend with the general nature of reddit. Most of the drug related ones are alright for guides and advice, r/walmart since I work there and I need my own circlejerk to rant about my shitty job, and shit like r/whatcouldgowrong, r/winstupidprizes and pretty much anything that was the successor to r/watchpeopledie because watching morons hurt themselves is easy entertainment.

I hate how I am unable to post on sensitive reddits because of 'karma' limits. I find it a bit inconducive to securities.

All you dumbasses shitting on reddit don't use it for practical reasons. Yeah, no shit reddit is gonna be fucking ass if you want to engage in the entertainment/informative aspect of it., the community is full of white nerdy outcasts in their mid 20s (not too different from this place, except people *think* they're self-aware), but guess what fuckfaces, i based the courses i take in university through a list of easy classes and college has been a breeze for me so far. i used the website to prep for the sat and got a relatively okay score. you just need to find what you want and get out.
