im a femanon and turning 19 soon. i have literally no idea on how to cook. i actually fucked up something as easy as pasta, and it was inedible. how important is a girl's ability to cook to a guy? should i just give up trying or is it really that important to know
Im a femanon and turning 19 soon. i have literally no idea on how to cook...
Where are you from? I think it's important for a person to know how to cook as a survival skill. Plus, at times you can share the workload or take turns. Just curious where you're from to know if I can teach you.
Being able to cook is a useful skill in general. And it really isn't that hard.
I think you should keep trying just so you can prove to yourself that you can.
start lurking /ck/ and look at yt channels bout cooking
or are you too retarded to do that?
and yes, it's important to know how to cook even for just youself
cooking is overrated, focus on making money instead and spend that money on take away. you can bet your pussy that no rich person ever did cooking for themselves
>no rich person ever cooked
except all those people you buy takeaway from
>Just curious where you're from to know if I can teach you.
BEWARE THE GROOMER ALREADY ENTERED THE THREAD
my point is they got rich because they invested the time in making money instead of learning how to cook
Assuming for the sake of argument that you are a biological female, learn to cook so you do not end up being a fat fucking pig disgusting landwhale. It is always healthier to cook your own stuff rather than eating pizza every single day.
And please don't be lazy and end up getting into the fatty """acceptance""" rabbit hole that leads to suicide for women.
Depends what quality of man you want. Most successful men ages 21-35 are pretty good in the kitchen. Because it's on eof those life skills you need. Now, the men that dont cook probably still live with their mum or they have a gf they live with who cooks. The single men that cant cook eat fast food everyday.
So you dont need to cook, but myself, as a successful man, if I went out on a few dates with a woman and found out she couldn't cook, that would be a red flag unless there was a very good reason she never learnt to cook. Otherwise it kind of indicates you're a brainlet.
>invested time in making money
>by cooking food people want to eat
no wait i misunderstood. but do you really think a single cook of those making the take away food for you ever got rich?
rich cooks dont exist, unless they become tv personalities. but thats more about being an entertainer than a good cook.
Just search yourself a guy who can cook
Personally I'd love to cook with or for a girl. And there are much more guys like me out there
Don't let Zig Forumsfags tell you, only traditional roles have any worth, because just false
Tho it couldn't hurt to learn cooking, it's really not that hard and with millions of videos and cookbooks for free it's easier than ever
This. is just wrong
Every successful person can cook, they just choose to not do it every day because the time is better spend otherwise. But make no mistake, if you're rich you don't order the unhealthy pizza or burger but more healthy food from real restaurants
Sorry mate but you're wrong. I work for an organization where everyone is making between 100k and 600k. All of these guys know how to cook for themselves, including myself. In fact most people in my social network, even those not from my organization know how to cook.
It doesn't really matter depending on the guy, some guys buy takeout rather than cooking bc they work a lot and have money and some guys like to cook themselves.
But learning how to cook basic stuff like pasta is pretty easy so just because you failed once doesn't mean you should completely give up on it, and you should try to avoid a relationship where you would struggle to live without the other person bc of cooking/money/etc reasons because the relationship could get toxic since you would feel like you *need* the other person.
If they own the business, which a lot of them do, yes.
i just use recipes right now. what would i gain from seeing a video? and /ck/ doesnt seem like a big help, its all people that already have experience
im on a track team, ill never let myself gain weight lol. i eat healthy while eating out but its definitely cheaper to make it yourself so i agree
what if the reason is that i never felt the need to
nice to hear, but i still wanna cook for my man when i get one. if someones gotta cook it should be me, ill feel like a failure if i dont
>Cook owns the business
since when have cooks the time to also manage and account when theyre busy cooking all day user
yeah most college graduates i and/or my coworkers at my programming job know how to do basic cooking since it literally takes like a few hours or so to learn basic cooking compared to 4 years of college
>i know how to make ramen
>i am a cook now!
do programmers really believe this
>im on a track team, ill never let myself gain weight lol.
>i eat healthy while eating out
It is a must, then.
Just make sure how to cook vegetables as well how to pick the ripe ones before you go to the local supermarket or farmer's market.
My work is done.
It's important. Woman is a safe harbor to which man returns after shitty work in his shitty life. Comfy woman who can make comfy food is one of the things worth livong for.
>my work is done
but you didnt do anything.
>infernal trips of truth
/thread
that's just a normal part of being a head chef
>but you didnt do anything
Aye.
but user, none of those guys are rich. its common knowledge that cooking is a low margin business, unless you do fast food for the masses or become a celebrity and sell books, tvshows
ooh thats good advice, knowing what to pick and buy. never thought about that but i bet it makes a big difference
>what if the reason is that i never felt the need to
Well you're only 19, I learnt to cook at 19 after I moved out of home. However my current gf is 19 and she's a really good cook.
You should learn when you move out, but I would recommend learning sooner. Do you enjoy food? Cooking let's you control how things taste and their texture and consistency, so you can make meals that you love. I came up with a recipe I loved so much that I had it for dinner 3 weeks in a row.
Did you time travel from the old testament or something, dude? Life is an adventure and your gf is your partner in crime. Imagine living a shitty life in the current year. I cannot fathom how you cant have a good life when it is so incredibly easy to make money now.
When i learned cooking i learned it all from youtube, i tried lurking in /ck/ but it didnt really help at all
As for videos theres tons of 7-12 minute videos that show you proper cooking techniques
youtube.com
youtube.com
youtube.com
i dont really care about food honestly i just eat to not be hungry. do you still like that recipe you made? or did having it so much make you sick of it
I cook jambalaya, gumbo, etouffee, beef stew, chili, omelets, curry, stir fry, etc
if he can eat that much of a single dish i wouldnt really trust his sense of taste, its probably mcdonalds tier
what if i could just buy him good food and suck his dick
thanks a lot! if i were to use videos id use ones by tasty. actually, i guess ill try following a video next time i try cooking. hopefully it makes some kind of difference
lmao maybe it was something simple and good. i feel like simpler foods are harder to get sick of than something complex and specific. i mean i could just eat white rice for the rest of my life
It's a bad sign for anyone looking for a long term relationship, since if you can't cook at all, you likely can't do anything else at home either. And probably aren't willing to learn
If you aren't looking for long term relations, it won't matter
I don't care too much if they don't know how to cook. But that's probably because I like to cook myself. I assume if both don't know how you'd be eating out a bunch
>what if i could just buy him good food and suck his dick
that was my whole argument really. its better for you too because in case he breaks up with you youre still financially independent
>white rice for the rest of my life
people with your tastebuds will become fat sooner or later 100%
Well personally, i think it's fine if my girlfriend/wife cant cook, since i can and i'm, probably going to be better then them at it.
The question you should be asking is what are you going to be doing otherwise? Will you be working, and cleaning up the house?
I still like it, Iale it once a month and everytime i try to do small tweaks to see if i can make it better.
What an incredibly low IQ deduction.
