H-hey Zig Forums, how does my lunch look?
It's a simple recipe, but quite tasty; I'll post it below.
H-hey Zig Forums, how does my lunch look?
Ingredients:
4 tbsp. butter, divided
1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 lb. shrimp
4 oz. cooked angel hair
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
4 cloves garlic, minced
Pinch crushed red pepper flakes
1 tbsp. freshly chopped parsley
1/4 cup dry white wine
Juice of 1/4 lemon
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan
looks quite bland
It's not
Step 1:
Melt 1 tablespoon butter with olive oil in large skillet
Add shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook until pink
Transfer to bowl
Step 2:
Add 3 tablespoons butter and garlic to skillet
Cook until fragrant
Add wine, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes
Let simmer for 2 minutes
add Parmesan
Simmer 2 more minutes
Step 3:
Return shrimp to skillet along with parsley
Stir until warmed
Add cooked angel hair
Toss until combined
Then garnish with more parmesan and serve!
Here's the final outcome, hope you like it!
Well done, that probably tastes delicious. Looks deceptively plain
It's got a rich and creamy flavor, even if it's simple!
Nice job OP. What would you change next time?
I would probably do a full thread like I usually do and release it a bit later in the day.
Oh, and maybe add a little bit more wine to balance out the rich flavor of the cheese a bit.
Nice, sounds perfect. Are you also doing a side salad
I didn't feel the need, I eat the garlic I've used to garnish the dish.
It'd go great with a little bit of ceaser salad though, I feel!
I'd throw in some parsley and roasted red peppers for some color also those shrimp look boiled, grill them sumbitches like a man.
looks quite good tbh
anyone who's cooked something similar knows how sneaky those flavors can be
garlic+butter+shrimps+parsley=delicioso
That's a good idea! I fried the shrimps actually.
Like a woman, I guess.
VERY tasty!
thats literally just shrimp scampi
its nothing special op
No one said it was anything special, I even said it was simple.
why wouldnt you just call it shrimp scampi then instead of making it seem like you created some new dish that no one has ever heard of before
I didn't do that, I said it was a simple recipe.
That does not imply I invented the recipe!
That said, my apologies if you were confused.
That was not my intention!
Found the dipshit.
He's got a point
its an important piece of information
if people know that the end result is supposed to be shrimp scampi they can do outside research to see how other shrimp scampi recipes compare
that way those who want to can adjust ops recipe with intention rather than through trial and error
or they can just make ops recipe
you take recipes at face value?
you should always follow the recipe first to get an idea of what your going for but afterwards theres no reason not to change things up to fit your taste
ppl saying it looks bland because u didnt add any color to it. throw some greens and reds in there
I use recipes as a template and cook to taste.
Yeah? Why wouldn't I?
I came for a meal nignog, not to do fuckin' math
so you understand how looking at more than 1 recipe will give you more information so that you can do a better job cooking to taste
ur a dumbass cooking is entirely math its all ratios between the ingredients
No it isn't
I read a fucking recipe
I do the fucking recipe
I eat the fucking food
NO MATH
some people will become angry about anything, even a bowl of pasta on the board designated for random posts lol
you talk like how white person pretending to be jap would talk leeel
I don't, but you are entitled to your opinion!
what the hell kind of life are you living where you say shit like "you take recipes at face value?"
you don't have to take anything at face value--theres no face here. a recipe is something you can quite literally read the ingredients for and alter at will.
or choose not to
so many choices.
even tho it is aimed at me
