G... Guys how are people actually walking around without a mask on?
I had to leave my apartment yesterday for the first time in 2 months and go to Walmart and I thought everyone was as cautious as I was, but I saw no one wearing a mask, it was either a banana or nothing.
Why arnt people taking this virus seriously? Do they want people to die?
It's not just the flu, it's an epidemic and we all need to do anything possible to lower the curve
Camden Thompson
Idk where you live but here in CA people are taking it pretty seriously. Or atleast the authorities are. You cant enter anywhere without a mask and are kicked out if you take it off or walk in without one. People are also getting ticketed large sums of money for being out in public with friends and such and not social distancing. Shits pretty tight here
Noah Garcia
Michigan here, no one gives two shits.

I hope I catch it so I can say stfu

Bandanas have the same effect

Because it's not a big deal and nobody gives a shit.

Yeah no there are to many cases where poeple need to go to the er. Most people will be fine but if the er gets to full many will die because they can get help.
Colton Martin
It's because people are realizing that COVID is nothing but a political tool for politicians and members of deep state to not only exact their policies, but to also test the the waters to see how we will react to a situation like this for whatever they have planed for us in the future.
Nowhere has the er been full. Even in New York where thousands of beds were constructed by the Army, only a trickle of patients used them.
Besides giving a shit about this virus means that you think shutting everything down and wearing masks actually helps. It doesn't. We are all going to get the virus eventually
If the flu was as deadly it would kill about 3 million Mutts per year.
Jeremiah Martin
The flu is an epidemic but you didn't give a shit then.
Here's some rough numbered courtesy of the CDC: >~91% of fatalities include a comorbidity. This is similarly true with the flu. The flu rarely kills unless its coupled with either age or pneumonia. >80% of fatalities are 65+ >93% of fatalities are 55+ >you can count the number of fatalities of individuals below the age of 14 on one hand.
The flu is actually far more deadly for young people than Covid. When we talk about old people, well, both the flu and covid kill at fairly significant, yet comparable, rates. With that said, our healthcare system is prepared for flu and pneumonia yet covid doesn't kill a significant amount of people more than those two.
Furthermore, a majority of covid deaths within the country have been within nursing homes. In many states, half or over half of total deaths occur within a nursing home. Ground zero, New York, has totally failed this because of Gov. Cuomo's order to return covid positive patients to nursing homes. On the other hand, Gov. Scott of Florida has allowed a fairly relaxed approach to the virus despite "experts" declaring measures such as keeping the beaches open to promote the virus. But the media hails Cuomo a hero despite New York being the worst managed state and the media conversely decries Scott a monster.
There is zero evidence for open air transmission of the virus. The belief that the virus remains infectious on contracted surfaces is similarly dubious.
The primary transmission vector of covid-19 is fine droplets, discharged via breath, cough, or sneezes. Those droplets are still considerably heavier than air and will fall to the ground after about 1-2 meters, for the burgers, that's about 3-6 feet. If you wear a mask, the range of the discharge is considerably cut. Many droplets get caught in the fabric in the first place, and the rest doesn't get as far, limiting its range to your direct vincinity. As a result, the odds of you infecting another person are now considerably lower.

Masks are for chumps

Excuse me, two hands. Oh no, I just doubled the death toll.

Thanks Fauci

>Why arnt people taking this virus seriously?
Because they don't know anyone who has died from it yet.
Everyone has comorbidities, the flu has a much lower death rate per infection, the flu has a much lower longterm complication rate in serious, but nonlethal cases (which you wholly discount), and corona deaths have already far surpassed last years flu season. Oh, and almost every burger has a comorbidity.
Almost everything you said is wrong or outdated. The only true thing is that it's worse for old people than for young people.

>Why arnt people taking this virus seriously? Because science that isn't immediately profitable or applicable to mass murder in the hands of American soldiers is mocked and dismissed.

>~50 million flu cases per year in the USA >kills around 45k people per year
>COVID-19 reaches 1.6 million cases >already killed 95k people Even if you claim that these deaths include all of the flu deaths, we're still looking at much higher mortality rates by an order of magnitude at least. According to your numbers, you're still looking at ~20k people below 65 who died from it, ~7k people below 55 who died from it. Now imagine if it just freely rampaged through the population, saturated hospitals and so on.
This. They're just completely disconnected from the issue.

>nobody gives a shit. this is 100% accurate, nobody has really even noticed covid so far. listen to this guy, he clearly as a really good brain
Austin Allen
Not true. I knew a guy that was in a car wreck that died of covid
Joseph Howard
So people presumably understand that they have comorbidities. People should be able to take into account their own risk. But no, people like you believe that the government should have control over all aspects of life because granny. Granny dies either way. 20% of deaths nationwide are from individuals 80yo or higher. >longterm complication rate in serious, but nonlethal cases How do you know this? We only had this thing for a couple of months or so. >corona deaths have already far surpassed last years flu season. Flu and pneumonia death rates fluctuate. Many of the serious years in the past decade eclipsed 100,000 deaths. Did that warrant the shut down of the nation? You don't understand the severity of that because you don't work or don't want to work. >Oh, and almost every burger has a comorbidity. Not every compounding factor correlates with corona virus deaths. The major compounding factors are a respiratory disease, cardiovascular disease or diabetes (fat disease). For the younger demography, 0-24 yo, comorbidity is ~98%. Yet the schools are shut down?
What was the purpose of the lockdown? Do you agree with the lockdown? Did the lockdown achieve its purported goal? This is where people disagree the most.

I think the passenger died of covid to but I didn't know her.

Most people I know are either gripped with fear over it, or they really don't care. No mask just means they don't care. My county has had like 8 confirmed cases so far, so nobody is worried. We just want to go back to normal and begin working again.
Christopher Bell
Ive said it many times and ill say it again, DONT TREAD ON ME STATE!!!
>~50 million flu cases per year in the USA >kills around 45k people per year The flu kills less than 10k a year by itself. Flu and pneumonia kills between 70-100k a year.
>COVID-19 reaches 1.6 million cases How do you know that? There seems to be over 10x the number of people who are asymptomatic carriers. >already killed 95k people Everyone dies from Corona. Every death is related to it. Doctors even express how they are being pressured to attribute a death to covid when they haven't had a positive test for the virus.
Jason Robinson
I know you really want to go work to fund your zionist overlords but come on man.
